He was dreaming he knew, but that didn't make it any easier.
"It wasn't me," he pleaded, he begged. "I'm innocent! I didn't do it! I would never… please…"
He turned wildly from one stolid, unforgiving face to another, imploring desperately.
All his friends, those he loved, glared at him with hate, with recrimination. No matter how much he pleaded and begged and wheedled. They didn't believe him. They never would.
"Killer. Traitor. Murderer. Villian. Death Eater. Evil." They chanted, cursing and rebuking him, faces twisted with disgusted rage and hate.
Sirius Black's screams echoed through the halls of Azkaban.
