This chapter is written in Pouncival's point of view:

I felt like I was about to pass out. Funny, seeing how Jemima's facial expression was extremely calm. To my surprise, she was the first to speak. "What do you want with us, Macavity?" she asked, with more anger in her voice than fear. He- IT glared at her with his horrible, discolored eyes. Now I was SURE I was going to pass out. I wanted to turn around to look at Tumble, but I wouldn't dare to make any sudden movements. God only knew what the Hidden Paw was capable of, he might just pull a shotgun out of his nose, or something along the lines of that…

"Hold back those smart-ass comments and maybe I won't kill you." Macavity replied with a snarl. Oh my god. I was going to die. I'm too young to die!

"My father will NEVER let you get away with this, your father Old Deuteronomy won't-"but before Jemima could finish Macavity smacked her across the floor, throwing her to the ground. She had her hand on her face, and she looked up with tears in her eyes.

"That horrible excuse for a leader is NOT my father, and you won't speak of him in front of me again." Macavity screamed practically right in her face. Jemima hissed, taking her hand off her face and revealing the three, deep, red lines on her face. Macavity just smirked at the sight of her pain. I twitched my nose slightly, disgusted in Macavity's behavior. How could anyone with a soul just- oh yeah. "Do you have anything you wanna say, boy?" Macavity suddenly asked me. I stopped breathing. "Um… Mr. Macavity, S-sir."

"Don't try to be polite Pounce! Tell him! Tell him what you want to say!" Jemima yelled to me. Macavity stomped on her back, and she screamed, than quieted. I looked at her. Never did I think I'd get the nerve to say what I said, well, at least attempted to say. "Yeah Macavity, I've got something to say."

I blacked out after that.
