He was there, and she was there.

He was terrified, but he wouldn't back down from her cold glare. Those light gray eyes seemed to be looking right inside of him, and she didn't even bother to hide her hatred for him.

"Please, just listen."

He said those simple words. She didn't move, didn't flinch, did nothing in reply.

He didn't know that the desperation in his voice was killing her on the inside.

He let out a shaky breath and ran a hand through his blonde hair. The silence seemed to stretch on forever.

"I'm sorry!" he suddenly yelled, catching her offguard.

She knew that was coming, but he didn't sound like the man she knew. That optimistic and cheerful, or insane and twisted, man.

He sounded broken. Compleatly alone and cast into his worst, and he showed it.

She wanted to forgive him. Wanted to love him again. But memories lingered, flashes of the pain and torture she went through, all at the hands of this man.

She turned away.

"N-no, please! We can fix this, things will be okay-"

She surprised him by turning around and walking up to him.

She placed a soft kiss on his lips, and shocked him by whispering five little words.

"I love you, you monster."

She turned around, and ignored his begging as she slowly walked away.
