One winter morning in Thorn Valley, Jenny McBride was getting up out of bed, and when she got out, she began shivering. It was so cold, she couldn't stop her teeth from chattering. Jenny started the fire in the fireplace, so she would warm up, but that didn't help.

Coming in the door from outside, Timothy Brisby was shivering violently, after doing his snow shoveling job. "Close the door, Tim!" Jenny shouted. Timmy closed the door as quickly as possible. "Man, I'm f-f-f-freezing!" Tim shivered. "Y-y-yeah, I feel l-like a p-p-p-p-popsicle!" Jenny said through chattering teeth. Jenny got out a blanket and wrapped it around her body. Tim was seeing how warm that blanket looked.

"Jenny, you mind if I---," Tim asked as he was hoping to share the blanket with her. "Sure," she said, as he came into the blanket with her. Jenny shivered as she felt Tim's cold feet, cold legs, cold arms, cold body, and cold chest, but she didn't care. They sat on the couch looking through the window, where snow was falling down.

As they saw the snow fall, Jenny thought about the time, when she met Tim, and how he was the only one helping her rescue her parents from NIMH. She nuzzled up to Tim, and kissed him. "Tim, why did you help me, save my parents, especially when you were disobeying Justin's orders, when he and Mr. Ages decided not to help?" she said.

"Well, somebody had to do it." He said smiling. Jenny then hugged Tim, and he kissed her cheek. As she felt his cold lips that are now warm lips touching her cheek, she began to blush. "Tim, what would you do if I fell into a river, and it was cold as ice?" she asked.

Tim wrapped his arms around her, and said "I'd go in after you." A tear began rolling down Jenny's face, because she was moved by Tim's soft words. She then hugged him, and then the two mice began to share a tender loving kiss.

"I love you, Tim." Jenny said.

"I love you, too, Jenny." Said Tim.

And so the two mice began sleeping in the warm arms of each other, as the cold night sky was still snowing, not bothering them, because Tim and Jenny were now warm, as they were embracing.
