A/N. This plot bunny would not leave me alone, so I wrote it. It's literally one whole page on Word. XD

Kurt and Blaine are not perfect. They have their fair share of bickering and fighting, even as a married couple.

They always make up, because they can't even remember what they were fighting about. All they know is how lonely not talking makes them feel.

One night, after a fight that's not too bad but bad enough that Blaine is forced to sleep on the couch, there's a storm raging outside. Blaine has one blanket with him and all he can think about is how scared Kurt must be right now- he absolutely hates thunderstorms. But both of them are too stubborn to move from where they are.

Finally, after a particularly loud thunderclap, he can't stand it anymore. Blaine throws the blanket off of himself and almost runs to their room.

He hesitates at the door, but a flash of lighting illuminates the whole house, so he turns the knob and peeks in the door.

Kurt is sitting in bed, curled up into a ball. Blaine walks toward him, slowly at first, but speeding up once he hears a sniffle coming from Kurt. Blaine sits next to Kurt on the bed and pulls him into a hug. Kurt clutches at Blaine's back, desperate to be held, crying into Blaine's shoulder. Blaine senses that desperation and holds him even closer.

"I'm sorry," Kurt whispers after what felt forever, finally calmed down a bit. He's not even apologizing for whatever they'd been fighting about. He's apologizing for fighting at all.

They're silent for another eternity, and then Blaine gets a crazy idea.

He pulls away from Kurt and says, "Stay here, hold on." He runs out of their room, leaving Kurt confused. When Blaine comes back after a few minutes, he grabs his husband's hand and leads him out to the living room.

Kurt laughs.

"A blanket fort, Blaine? In the middle of the night?"

The curly haired man smiles. "Why not?" He pulls Kurt under the fortress of blankets and sheets and chairs, both of them laughing. It's stocked with pillows and more blankets to lie on.

They talk for hours about nothing. They sneak quite a few kisses in between.

It's like they're teenagers again.

They fall asleep with Blaine's head in Kurt's lap, Kurt running his fingers through Blaine's curls.

The storm, and the fight, are completely forgotten.
