"Don't go!" I say suddenly. He sighs. I was just making this harder for him.
"I have to, we've been over this."
"Please..."
He gives me a hug. I can't really think. I can't let Charlie go...I can't let Charlie go, I repeat over and over in my mind. Luk-Kronos knows he's gonna be there. And that's my fault.
"It'll be fine, Silena, I promise," He says.
Tears are running down my face now. Why did I agree to be a spy? I can't even remember.
"Don't say that!" I scream, "You don't know that!" But I do.
"I'll miss you, Silena," He says as he mounts Blackjack. He kisses me and before I know it I standing there watching the love of my life fly away, knowing that I sent him to his death.
I fall to my knees and sob into my hands. He's not coming back. And it's my fault.
Almost made me cry writing it.
