She's exhausted, burned out. Everyone can tell. Since Doug and Tony began their hazardous journey through time, she hasn't gone a day without circles under her eyes.
And even though they're covered up by an extra layer of foundation, they're still there.
Every transfer, each perilous moment drains her more than the rest of them. Fear is evident in her eyes, even though she makes an effort to hide it.
It hurts to see her like this, so distressed, and them unable to do anything about it.
But it's one miniscule thing that pains them most.
She never smiles anymore.
