For one breathtaking moment, he was terrified. Terrified that it had all been a dream and reality was rushing headlong to tear straight through him. Literally. Terrified of the sudden test that he wasn't sure he would pass, but didn't think he'd survive failing.
In the next moment there was total shock. His arms were held out and away from his body, like he didn't know what to do with them. His chest heaved rapidly as he gasped for air and his heart raced even though he was only standing still.
It was the unfamiliar, almost alarming warmth wrapped around his midsection that finally convinced him that what was happening was real. It was the warmth that ushered in the next, possibly happiest moment of Jack Frost's very long life.
The feel of Jamie's hug was unlike anything he had ever imagined. Newly reclaimed memories of long-ago family embraces just didn't compare. Looking down at the brown head of hair that was snuggled against his abdomen instead of passing through it, feeling the small hands clutching at the back of his worn hoodie, he finally got to do something he'd almost given up dreaming of.
Kneeling down, slipping through the boy's embrace, Jack wrapped his arms around the small figure and hugged him back.

Teeny-tiny drabble about my favoritest moment in the Rise of the Guardians movie. Don't own the characters or movie (can't even have a copy of the DVD until it comes out…) so please don't sue me or take this down…
