Shaggy has always had some weird kind of remembrance that links odors to memories. He can't help it, and being around a dog 24/7 certainly worsens this fact.

Most of the time, smells just make him remember some places he've been to, like shellfish reminds him of beaches and seashores. Or even some moments, like apple pie reminds him of the time he and the gang were at Oakheaven.

The downside of this ability of his is being able to recall every person he has met with some aroma. Dust makes he think of the Miner 49'er; rusty iron makes he think of blood and blood reminds him of all those fake vampires he's met in the past.

It's kinda sad to know he can remember all those villains by common fragances or stenchs.

But there's always a upper side, innit? Even with all those awful people, his nose caught his beloved ones' scents. And, somehow, it turns everything worth the problem.

Scooby-Doo smells like pizza and fear and Scooby-Snax. Somehow, this combination reminds him that he ain't, like, alone. Through thick and thin, this scent has been around him most of his life.

Daphne has this particular strong and sweet aroma that suits her personality very well. Shaggy thinks it's a french perfume her aunt always gives her over christmas.

Freddy is all sweat, anticipation and Daphne's perfume. It amazes Shaggy that good ol' Freddy Hermann Jones, Jr. hasn't hooked up with Daphne yet with all that french essence.

Then there's Velma... She has the most unique scent among every single person he has met. She, like, smells like orange, vanilla and books. But it ain't just a combination - oh no, my friend. He can literally know where every odor starts and ends.

Her hands and, strangely, her nose emane the trail of what she's been reading. Her smooth hair shows the vanilla fragrance that was in her shampoo.

Her mouth, then, has this essence of her favourite fruit. The one she eats between pages of her books and every morning at breakfast.

To Shaggy, those three are the best odors in the whole world. It reminds him of being loved and being able to love back. It reminds him of traveling and home. And, above all, it reminds him of all the stolen kisses they shared between mysteries.
