"...I know who my soulmate is."

Those six words did things to Quinn.

She was overjoyed. She was terrified. She was nervous. Then she felt sad.

He wouldn't want her again. She's always lying. She's lied and/or cheated on nearly all of her past boyfriends. The others were short-lived relationships.

"You wouldn't want me. I'm terrible at having a relationship that involves any level of honesty," she says softly.

Puck gives her a look almost as if to say she was insane. He can't believe she feels that bad about herself, at least when it came to that.

"I love you," Puck blurts. "Just tell me to stay. Because the truth is, there was only one guy you were ever really honest with."

He had a point. She hadn't really ever lied to Puck. They had their problems when they were in a relationship in high school, but again, that was high school. Their first try was when she was pregnant, and their second try was when they wanted to get Beth back. They wanted different things during both times, but they were always close. They always came back to each other. Things are different now, and it's finally the right time.

Quinn wants to say something, but she can't. She opens her mouth slightly, but no words come out.

Are you kidding me? The minute I want to say something, I can't, she thought.

Puck's face fell. Quinn could feel her heart drop.

Puck leaves the locker room, keeping his head high, thinking maybe they weren't supposed to be together. Maybe she didn't say anything for a reason. I mean, it wasn't ideal, but I can't let it crush me.

At least not for long. He still doesn't think he can ever move on, truly, from Quinn.

Quinn was panicking.

She had to run.

She needed him.

They needed each other.

She sprints out of the locker room and goes out into the hallways, pushing through several people, several "sorry"'s and "excuse me"'s being exchanged.

When she finally caught up to him, she put her hand on his shoulder and he turned around facing her.

It's your move now, she thinks to herself. Do what you've been wanting to do for a long time.

She wraps her arms around him and kisses him. Really kisses him. She could just barely remember the last time they did that, and she missed it. She missed him. She missed being with him. She was herself around him, and he was himself around her. They loved each other.

She finally pulls back.

"Stay," she whispered.

He smiles and pulls her into a tight hug, lifting her from the ground. It's an amazing feeling.

"I love you," she tells him after her feet are on the ground again, looking him in the eye, his arms wrapped around her waist. She missed that. "And I'm sorry it took so long to say that," she says, remembering when he told her he loved her shortly after Beth was born.

He grins. "It's fine. I'm just glad that you do," he admits.

"Do you think we can make it work this time?" she asks. "Not like I think it won't work, I'm just worried because of the last times, and I don't want to not be with you again," she says, biting her lip. Only he can make her admit things like that.

Puck starts to feel butterflies. I don't want to not be with you again.

"Babe, I know it'll work," he says.

She smiles, kissing him again. She has a good feeling about this.
