Danny found Sam sitting under a large old oak tree in an desolated area of the park. He had got an email earlier that day, telling him to come and meet her there at dusk. He walked up beside her and sat down, waiting for her to speak. They just sat there staring into the setting sun.
"It's weird, isn't it?"
He looked over to her. She was still looking at the blazing sky, her amethyst eyes and her black hair gleaming in the sunlight, "What is?"
She gave a small smile, "We are! Less than a year ago, we didn't even believe in ghosts. Now your half a ghost, and we fight them on a daily basis."
"Sam, what's up? You sent me an email telling me to meet you here and that it was important. Now your saying how weird our lives have become?"
Sam shook her head, "Never mind."
She stood up and started to leave. Danny quickly got up and followed her, "Sam! What did you want?"
She stopped and closed her eyes, letting Danny catch up to her. She opened her eyes and turned around and shouted, "You are so clueless Danny Fenton! Always chasing after Paulina, never seeing that..."
She threw up her hands, exasperated, "You know what, forget it," and she walked away leaving Danny confused by her out burst.
He thought over her words until, 'Wait... what?"
later that night.
Sam laid on her bed, staring at her ceiling, 'Why did I have to go and do that?'
She kept staring at the ceiling until a knocking sound came from her window. Pondering what the noise was, she got up and looked out her window and saw the infamous ghost boy floating outside her window.
"Can I come in?" he asked, she didn't say anything, but she moved out of the way. He flew inside and landed on the floor, changing back to his human self.
"I know it's pretty late... and you're probably really mad at me. But I, uh, um…" he walked up to her and gave her a quick kiss on the lips, "I wanted to say I'm sorry I was clueless."
She smiled at him "If you do that again, all is forgiven."
He grinned back at her and happily obliged.
