4 months later, Vectes...
The mornings on Vectes weren't too bad...
The soft glow from the sun shining, lighting his world from the dark it once was, The subtle sound of the waves crashing not too far from him, Marcus sat on the beach of the island that was now his home...
Not his, theirs. The best part about vectes, was the woman leaning against him in a hold that would be seen as cuddling.
But Marcus didn't do cuddles, so it was just a hold for now. He rested his face against the side of hers,
feeling her soft skin against his gave him comfort. The light of the sun highlighted her silky golden blonde hair and her tan skin beautifully, as if she were a heathen goddess. It was moments like these Marcus would keep in his heart until the day he dies.
Tripping up on my tongue
It's all over my face and I'm racing
Got to get away from you...
Burning all the way home
Try to put it to bed but it chases
Every little thing I do...
Talking. Whenever Anya started to talk about the past, Marcus shut down. He hated talking about these things with a passion.
After several hours of ignoring her attempts to make him talk about something, anything, Anya had given up. He sits on the far left of their sofa with a blank expression.
"I'm trying here Marcus! I love you and I want to know what you're feeling. I don't want you to think you have to hold it back to be the big man."
She can't help but kneel in front of him.
"It's not weakness to talk about it...about Dom" This earns Anya more of a stare. Finally words.
"I miss him Anya...I just miss him" Those cool blue eyes lock with hers. He knew she hadn't really given up, he also knew he couldn't hold back from Anya any longer. Besides, Anya was his angel and angels are good at keeping secrets of the heart.
