I wrote this for my english class, after reading War of the Worlds by H. G. Wells. I am quite proud of it, since I haven't written anything for a really long while.
-Triumph-
Ghosts of the past linger amongst the Streets
Mournful cries falling from their lips
Death is upon them
Lives never again to be lived.
But alas, we are free!
Free once again to do as we pleased.
The intruders of our world, dead, at last.
And buried beneath the ground to the deepest pit,
So they never trouble us again.
