A kiss on the cheek didn't mean a thing. (Of course it did.)

Her fallen face didn't make him feel guilty. (He felt like someone punched him in the gut.)

The neatly wrapped present belonged to him. (And he dismissed her feelings.)

His phone going off saved him. (He was embarrassed.)

The hurt look on her face at his ringtone didn't bother him. (His heart clenched uncomfortably.)

He didn't feel bad about this. (He won't forget this.)

He didn't care that he had deduced her. (He really, truly wishes he hadn't.)

He doesn't want her forgiveness. (He craves it.)

What does she see in him? (She sees past all of his walls.)

Why does she care? (She loves him. He knows it.)

No one has ever made him feel bad about his deductions. (She somehow got through his hard facade.)

He hates her for it. (He wishes he hated her, but he doesn't. She means more than anything.)

No one would ever be with him. (If it were anyone, it would be her.)

That's just how he wanted it. (Now if only he could convince himself as he convicted everyone else.)
