After the Doctor left, Rose and John walked along the beach, their hands entwined together. 'Now,' she thought, 'I can grow old with the man I love.' Suddenly, John stopped and looked at Rose. "John? What's wrong?" she asked, starting to worry. "Nothing's wrong, not anymore. I was always wondering what would happen between us, if we found each other again. But, as long as you are alive and with me, I'm the happiest man in the world." With this, he kissed her and Rose felt weak in his arms. He took his coat off and put it on the sand. Then he sat next to it, and grabbing Rose's hand, brought her down next to him, with her sitting on the coat. "Rose, I have a question to ask you. You don't have to answer it now, but I would like you to answer sometime." John was looking out at the ocean, and then turned to Rose. "Yes? What do you want to ask me?" she asked getting breathless."Well, since we'll be together until the end…" he moved to where he was in front of Rose, kneeling on one knee. "I… Will you marry me?"
John glanced away as he finished talking, but turned back as she gasped. She had just started to cry, when he moved closer to her and kissed her. "Rose, what do you say? Will you… Will you marry me?" Rose looked at John with a look so filled with love that he thought he would die. Rose stood and walked into the surf. "John…I'm afraid of losing you again. I want to say yes…" John ran to her side and wrapped his arms around her. "Then why don't you? As long as I'm alive, I will never leave you." After a glance to her face he said, "I swear!" she turned in his arms and wrapped her arms around John and kissed him.
"John! Rose! Where are you? It's starting to get dark! John, Rose!" they heard Rose's mother, Jackie yell. "Shall we tell her?" Rose asked. "Yes, we shall." John answered his arm around her waist. She picked up his coat and carried it, though he tried to get it away from her. As they walked into Jackie's view, Jackie noticed that Rose's eyes were red and puffy, as if she had been crying. "John! What did you do? Rose looks as if she has been crying!" Jackie yelled, very much to the amusement of the young lovers. John walked over to Jackie and hugged her saying "Sorry, Mum! I didn't mean to upset you. Will you forgive me?" Jackie turned to Rose and then looked at John. "Of course I'll forgive…wait…did you just call me Mum?"
A/N: I found this the other day while I was looking for a chapter to another story and decided to post it. I wrote it after I watched "Journey's End" and didn't like the way they left off Rose's story. I've always thought they should do a spin off of Doctor Who and focus on Rose and the Doctor's duplicate's relationship (with aliens and the Whovianess of course!) I haven't decided if I will make it multiple chapters or just a one-shot, guess it will depend on the reviews I get. So please review if you want more! Thanks!
