Notes: I have a great deal of respect for Shino. the fact that he has insects crawling around inside of him all the time and yet manages to be so outwardly cool in incredible. especially considering I think I can sympathize, because I have episodes of ADHD where my skin feels like it's trying to crawl off my bones. this was written during one of them.
Summary: When the kikaichuu crawl under his skin, he doesn't notice. When Kiba crawls under his skin, he can't help but notice.

They never stop moving.
He can feel the kikaichuu crawling under his skin, all the time. But growing up with them inside him, the buzz of the hive beneath his skin a constant in his ears, he doesn't consciously notice it. He's not sure he ever did. They are a part of him, as natural as the air pumped through his lungs, the blood through his veins.
And then there is Kiba.
Kiba does what the kikaichuu cannot. When he crawls under Shino's skin, he can't help but notice.
When the kikaichuu stir in response to Kiba's presence, he thinks they might be jealous.
