Left as a mystery
Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto or any of its characters.
It was huge.
That was pretty much the only way he would describe the house of the Kazekage and his siblings.
"You took your time," Temari greeted Shikamaru.
"I'm alright, thanks for asking," he replied sarcastically.
She rolled her eyes. "Do you want anything to drink?" she asked as she closed the door behind him."
He found a seat and made himself comfortable. "No thanks."
Shikamaru looked at his bag. "You could show me to my room though."
Temari sighed. "Hurry up then."
As they went upstairs, she began talking.
"Feel free to have a look around. The only rooms that you cannot go into are the other bedrooms."
She looked at him. "Especially mine. Got it?"
He nodded lazily.
"Good." Temari pointed to the room at the back. "That one is yours."
"Alright." He walked off.
"I'll be back," She said. "I have papers to give to Baki, so make yourself comfortable, but not too comfortable. Got it Nara?"
Shikamaru rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah woman."
"Remember what I said about my room."
"Just go do what you need to Temari."
When she left he unpacked, before deciding to look around the house.
He found doing so relatively boring, until he arrived at a room with a fan engraved on its door.
He looked around, making sure he wasn't being watched, before putting his hand on the doorknob.
"Wonder what it looks like," he asked himself.
"It's probably filled with all sorts of fans," he chuckled.
He stopped himself from opening the door. "Or weasels..."
It got him thinking.
"What could be in there?"
It must be something creepy. Like some sort of Gothic layout. That would suit a woman as scary as her.
Or it may be the complete opposite. Filled with pink, flowers, and stuffed animals. That would probably be even scarier.
Shikamaru released the handle. "Maybe it's best to leave this as a mystery."
He exited the hallway to find that Temari had returned. She raised an eyebrow.
"I was uh, looking for the bathroom."
With that he left.
The room was plain. A bed, a desk, some clothes lying around, and a bedside table with a picture frame on top.
Temari entered it and picked up the frame, holding a picture of her and a certain lazy ass at a park, smiling.
She hid it under her pillow and smiled herself.
"Just in case."
End.
