SG-1 is sitting in the briefing room, discussing a planet the Daniel finds intriguing. Jack is sitting there clicking his pen waiting for it to end. Sam is asking about what ore is located on the planet. Teal'c is observing the group. Daniel is still rattling on about the planet mission, that he is trying to get SG-1 to go on. General Hammond okays the mission and dismisses SG-1.
SG-1 heads to the infirmary. Dr. Frasier is checking them over. "Okay SG-1 you all seem perfectly fine to me, you may leave." "Thanks Doc," says Jack as SG-1 leaves the room.
As SG-1 departs Jack and Sam walk away in the same direction. Sam and Jack are discussing their previous mission as they walk into the dining area. On the table Jack finds a jar of peanuts. As Jack starts munching on some of the peanuts, the power suddenly goes out.
Startled at the sudden power outage, Sam walks to the door and tries opening it. To her dismay the door is locked. "Jack, its locked," says Sam. "Oh good lord," Jack says as he sees the worry in Sam's eyes.
As it gets darker Sam is searching for a chair, and ends up pinching Jack a couple of times before she realized that she was pinching Jack. Jack looks at Sam with a funny look on his face and says, "Pinch me again, Sam, and I'll….." Sam is still searching for a way out of the room.
"Sam, everything is going to be just fine, I promise," Jack says. "No Jack, I need to get out of here now. I cannot be stuck in here." Sam starts crying.
Jack not sure of what to do rummages thru drawers and cupboards and finds some toilet paper for Sam. Sam blows her nose and tells Jack, " I'm sorry, I'm just not a fan of being locked on base and not knowing if I can get out."
"Its okay, Sam. We'll get out as soon as the power comes back on." Jack thinks a moment and then says, " Lets try to get some sleep. We'll both feel better after we wake up."
Sam looks at Jack and than says, " Maybe your right Jack! Who knows maybe the power will be back on when we wake up."
Jack goes to the closet and comes back with some table cloths and chair cushions and lays them on the floor. Making a bed for Sam, so that she can sleep fairly comfortably. Sam smiles at Jack, "Thank you, Jack."
Sam lays down and after finally falls to sleep. Jack sits watching Sam sleep for a little while. Jack finally decides to lay down on the floor beside Sam. After a little while Jack falls to sleep.
Early in the morning Jack hears a pounding noise and rolls over and then he finally sits up. The pounding noise continues. Jack finally looks toward the noise and sees Daniel and Teal'c pounding on the door. They were trying to get his and Sam's attention. He gets up and heads toward the doors and looks at Daniel, " How did you guys get hear aren't all the doors locked?" Daniel looks at Jack, "Yeah, but we pried them open. Jack, where is Sam?"
"Daniel, what is going on out there?" Sam asks. "Hey Sam. The power is out due to an unexpected storm," Daniel says.
"Sam, Jack, we are going to do everything in our power to get you guys out of there," Teal'c says.
Teal'c and Daniel find a weak spot on the doors hinges and start to pry on it. They work on it for about an hour, and finally the last hinge is off. They carefully lay the door on the floor, before going to check on Jack and Sam.
Sam looks at the questioningly and asks, " How long did it take you guys to find us?" Teal'c looks at them and says, " All night, Sam." Daniel smiles and says, "We didn't stop looking until we heard Jack snoring." Jack looks at Daniel, "That isn't funny Daniel." All of SG-1 except Jack starts laughing.
