Fluttershy was running through the forest. Nightmare Moon's guards were chasing after her. Out of nowhere, giant blasts of magic were shot out. Rainbow Dash, one of the guards was hit in the wing and forced to fall back. The magic blasts kept on coming, picking off the guards one by one until their commander Shining Armour gave the order for them to retreat. A Unicorn named Moon Dancer came out of the bushes and Fluttershy threw herself at Moon Dancer, repeatedly thanking her for saving her life. Moon Dancer then shoved Fluttershy off of her.
"State your name and business here!" Moon Dancer damaged Fluttershy as she pulled a large magical canon out of the bushes. "Before I blast you."
Fluttershy was so scared. She couldn't think of what to say. She already had to put up with Nightmare Moon's royal guards trying to kill her, now this unicorn did as well. She was too terrified to speak. Instead, she buried her face in her hooves and began crying.
Moon Dancer lowered her canon and allowed the Pegasus to cry for about another minute before she slapped her upside the head. Moon Dancer then gave Fluttershy a less hostile look and sat down on the grass.
"Ow..." Fluttershy said as she was slapped. "What was that for?" She sat on the ground as well and stopped crying.
"Listen." Moon Danced said. "You're in the resistance now. That means you're now helping look for the most powerful Unicorn in Equestria. You're also fighting against Nightmare Moon." She somehow pulls another magical canon out of the either and throws it at Fluttershy. "This is your weapon. Use it only when you're in dire need"
A lavender unicorn named Twilight Sparkle was traveling across the remains of Ponyville. She was a full grown adult, but a blank flank. She carried around a purple dragon egg with green spots which she affectionately dubbed Spike. She didn't know why, but it just felt right.
"Why did it have to be this way?" Twilight Sparkle asked herself. "Why couldn't I save everypony?" She kept going across the ruined town. She felt like it was all her fault. It wasn't fair what happened. So many ponies died at Nightmare Moon's hooves. The rotting corpses of so many Stallions, Mares? Phillies, and Colts. Children. Nightmare moon killed children. How could she be so heartless? Why would anypony do this?
It wasn't hard to see during the night since the moon was always full. It was nowhere near as bright as the sun, but bright enough to see.
Nightmare Moon was sitting on her throne, when her guards came in. The seemed exauhsted and damaged. The minute she saw this, she knew it was the work of the resistance. She stood up and walked to the captain of the royal guard, Shining Armour.
"Is the resistance still around?" Nightmare Moon asked Shining Armour.
"Y-yes your highness." Shining armour responded nervously, hoping Nightmare Moon would go easy on her.
"You've failed me one too many times Shining Armour." Nightmare Moon growled. "Step foreword!"
Shining Armour stepped forward dreading what was to come next.
"You are a pathetic failure!" Nightmare Moon exclaimed. "You have let the resistance go too many times! And now you will pat the ultimate price! Have you any last words?"
"I wish I fought against you..." Shining Armour grumbled.
With one large blast of her horn, Nightmare Moon vaporized Shining Armour completely.
Twilight kept walking, and as she did, she felt a gigantic pain in her chest. It was as if a big part of her life had been taken from her. She pulled the egg out of her saddle bag, held it and cried.
