I don't own Resident Evil or an related characters or items. A look at the life of an unsung hero of Resident Evil 3.

"There we go. That should be enough to keep me alive when the mutants come." I had just finished my bomb shelter, and boy was she a beauty! Wooden all the way, enough food and water to last me two years, and good old Betsy. I wouldn't leave home without my trusty shotgun now would I? You're so cute, yes you are! Yes you are!

Sure, my girlfriend thinks I've gone crazy, but she'll see!

"Come on Betsy. Lets go find a comfy spot before the mutants come."

I then sat down and waited. I started to think of my future. What would happen after the mutants come? Would I have to repopulate the Earth? Who knows.

Soon I began hearing screams outside. I heard the unmistakable sound of crunching bone. Cannibals.

I had learned all about how to deal with mutants from all my monster movies, (which I had not forgotten to pack in here). The only way to stop them was to put a bullet through their skulls.

Soon I heard a pounding at the door. I got up and pumped old Betsy. I carefully opened the peeker. (I don't know what it's called but, every time the hero dies in the movies, they ain't got no peeker).

It was my buddies, Frank, Joe, and Paul! They were begging me to let them in. They said something about not meaning all those jokes or something. I didn't care, so I let them in. A few other people came in as well. Not a lot, but a few.

I said, "What's going on out there?" and Paul said 'I don't know but I think someone bit me. I feel really tired. I think I'll take a nap.' and he fell asleep right on the spot. The others fell asleep to. Them running must have really took it out of them.

Everything became quiet from then on out. Except for the usual groan of a cannibal from outside, everyone was quiet. A few minutes later, I heard gunshots outside. I went to look and saw a man dressed in a yellow vest with a handgun.

'Get away!' he screamed shooting at the cannibals. He pounded on my door to let him in and I kindly did.

"What's your name?" I asked. He told me his name was Brad Vickers, a member of the local police unit S.T.A.R.S. We began talking and I worked my way back to my spot at the back of the shelter. After a while, Paul woke up.

"Howdy Paul. You sleep well?" I asked. He merely moaned.

"What's wrong?" He got up and so did all the others. They looked erie, almost inhuman. It was when Paul came up and tired to put his chompers in me that I knew there was trouble. I tried to shoot them off using old Betsy but there were too many. They swarmed around Brad, but luckily, he got away. He screamed as he busted down my door and the cannibals chased after them. But Paul stayed with me. I wasted all my shells on him and fell down against the wall from blood loss.

As I stared before my eyes would inevitably shut, I saw a beautiful women come in and blast Paul. I saw the body's of the others fall along the stairs as well. See came up to me and bend down before I fell unconscious.

Who knows. If I get enough positive feedback I might make another chapter! I feed off of reviews, please leave one and you WILL get a response.
