Through The Valley

By: KT

As I walk through the valley

I look behind me

A raven leads the way

To destiny itself

I follow the dark roadway

Which leads to a divergence

The raven squawks edgily

Waiting silently

Waiting for something

Now I must make a decision

Should I take the path to the right

Which helps me forget the past

Or should I take the path to the left

Which adds more years of atonement?

If I take the path to the right

Then I will forget her

Forget us

If I take the path to the left

Then I shall continue to suffer

Continue to feel loneliness

Sorrow

Anger

Hate

I take a deep breath and look around me

With my bloody, crimson eyes

The world seems lifeless

To these bloody eyes

Just like my heart

Which has died

Along with her

The raven squawks

Drawing me out of my thoughts

I look that the two diverse paths

The two diverse fates

Which awaits me

I look at the raven

I look into its eyes

They are scarlet

Just like mines

The raven looks towards the right

I see hope in its eyes

Did Lucrecia send this raven

To enlighten me to let go

Let go of the past

And move on

Or just to ridicule me and laugh at my struggles?

As I walk through the valley

The path to the right chosen

My thoughts wonder

On my new life

That has yet to begin.
