Odd. I never really envisioned myself writing Yu-Gi-Oh! related poetry. But, here it is. I'm not definite as to whether or not this is just Seto's perspective, or if it's something he'd actually write.... I'll let my readers form their own opinions on that. Anyway, enjoy!
Disclaimer: Yu-Gi-Oh! belongs to Kazuki Takahashi.
Reality Check
Everything around me is distant and cold -
To stand out is to make myself the world's target.
But I don't care.
The flames in my eyes are still burning,
The fire of my soul still rages against the ice.
Let them come - I'll still stand out, stand tall.
Bring it on - I won't let them break me.
Forever, it seems, I tread the path laid out before me,
I'm building my empire on the ruins of those who fell.
I scheme, I rage, I unleash my power and I conquer,
And yet I'm still not satisfied -
Why does it seem like I'm getting nowhere?
Is there something more than this?
Am I more than the masks I've created?
Who am I?
What am I doing wrong?
Damn it, someone give me the answers -
I'm tired of being told my faults.
I can't explain to them why I'm like this,
They can't understand the hell I've been through,
They'd never believe that it was all because I cared.
