Felt like adapting one fan fiction I created for a different show (which wasn't uploaded on here, so I don't think it's flouting the rules or anything. It's quite Mickey/Rose based until the end, so if you can't stand Mickey, I apologise!)

the way, anyone know how to "finish" a story? I don't know if you can
say whether a story is completed or not, but I've added three one-shots
to this website and I don't want people to think I'm doing two/three
stories at once! Thanks!
The comforting rays danced across the undressed arms and hands that clutched around the metallic chains. Linked to a bright red swing seat, the two chains extended and then contracted as the swing's height increased, much to the amusement and enjoyment of the young girl sitting on it. She giggled as the trees and the flowers and the clouds seemingly flew beneath her, a sense of excitement washing over her face as the feeling of being on top of the world resided inside her thoughts. A big grin erupted onto her face, her motivation decreasing as the ground gently kissed her bare toes with a light bump. Rose groaned, kicking her legs up with disappointment. "Higher!"
"Don't hog the swing," Mickey rolled back his eyes, mustering the last drop of strength that remained in his arms to push his friend once again. "I wanna have a go, ya know."
"I really like this though!" his friend whined mockingly, grinning from ear to ear. The swing came to a complete halt, its chains wrapping themselves around each other as Rose twirled around on the swing, forcing Mickey to grab her legs as she faced him. "You're gonna be so dizzy when I let you go."
Rose shrugged, smiling. "It's fun. I'm over it." She paused, her eyes trailing towards the sky. "The clouds are so pretty today."
Mickey glanced up. "They just look like regular clouds to me."
Rolling her eyes, Rose spun back around violently, hesitating for a minute to catch her balance. "Can't you see any animals in them?"
"Animals?"
"Yeah! Like…I can see an elephant there."
Mickey looked to where she was pointing, screwing his face in confusion. "Rosie…how did you get an elephant from THAT!"
Rose groaned. "Look. See? There's the body, that big round bit there. Then the little bits make the legs and the ears and…and don't call me Rosie -"
"I think I see a camel!"
She turned her head sideways, the swing spinning slightly. Unguided, she looked to Mickey for a tour of the sky, desperately searching for his discovery. "A camel? Where?"
Mickey directed her to the left, his eyes firmly placed on the cloud he had noticed. Resting his head on her shoulder, he nodded. "See?"
"That's not a camel –"
"It IS. It just hasn't got any legs."
"Then it's just a cloud."
Mickey sighed. "You're telling me you got an elephant from," he pointed, "THAT, but I can't get a camel from this!
The pair beamed as they made their way towards the grass, their debate a regular and homely feature of their conversations. Nearby, two people watched as the children continued bickering, the female of which leaning into towards her male friend, smiling. The Doctor cocked his head sideways, grinning down towards his companion as he took her hand. "You were a cute kid."
"Nah..."
"Good to see things haven't changed. You're still a stubborn little madam."
"Hey!" Rose playfully whacked his shoulder, rolling her eyes. Squeezing his hand, she shrugged her shoulders, staring at the two young children before she turned to face him. "C'mon, let's go get some food...had enough of this nostalgia business, and my stomach's rumbling."
"Chips?"
"Of course."
"Fantastic."
