It was 1:00 in the morning when Harry decided to retrieve it. His potions grade had dropped significantly and he was missing the spells that didn't cause people other students to bleed to death. Harry draped his invisibility cloak over his and head and slipped at out of Gryffindor common room to retrieve the Half Blood Prince's book. He walked through the corridors of Hogwarts determind find the book in the Room of Requirement. He found the entry way and thought desperately, I need to find the place where my book is hidden. After what seemed like ages the room opened up to him. It was vastly filled with clutter. A few old school books and broken quills were lying on a bookshelf. As he searched the bookshelf he finally found it. He wiped the dust off it's cover and opened it. There it an untidy scrawl read, Property of the Half Blood Prince. He knew Hermonie would be angry at him. For retrieving the book and beating her at potions, and being out so late at night and breaking the rules. Harry wouldn't doubt that she might auctually give him detention. Perhaps not for being out of the common room so late at night,but for reclaiming the book. Harry gave a small start as he heard someone outside. Harry cautiously stepped ou of the room. And looked down the hall. There billowing black robes in all was Proffesser Snape.
Harry decided that he better get back to the common room filtch or Ms. Norris came by. Harry had no doubt in his mind that Ms. Norris would smell him and alert her master filch. When Harry was back into his dormitory he slipped the book into his backpack, took of his glasses and fell asleep instantly. Harry told Ron about his decision to get the book back over toast and marmalade in the Great Hall. " Exactly what I would have done, said Ron, Imagine my Potions grade if Slughorn had given me that book." Harry heard an angry voice behind him, " I'm glad you got your book back, snapped Hermoine,I hope you enjoy using someone else's brilliantness to substitute for your lack-of! Harry raised an eyebrow at Ron. "Just ignore her ", said Ron, "Anyone would have got the book back." "Suppose so", Harry said, and he and Ron set off for transfiguration lessons
