Authors Note: My first attempt at a more artistic oneshot. Also my first Harry Potter fic, so I'd say be kind but I enjoy all types of criticism. Reviews are always welcome.

She was a Stargirl. At least that's what Daddy called her. A child that shone bright enough to survive amongst the Black.
The Blacks.
They were reserved and proper. A perfect picture of aristocracy and nobility. They were the jewels of society, an elite concoction of bigotry and inbreeding.
And she shone as bright as any. Gamma Orionis. Bellatrix.
She was her namesake. A female warrior that fought with sashaying hips and heavily-lidded eyes. She was power. With the mind of killer and the body of a sinner they didn't stand a chance.
She grew up knowing that her ideas and her mind would lead her to glory. Daddy knew it too and he was proud. Mother wasn't. She was a Stargirl after all and she would bear aristocracy and nobility and bigotry to a man she didn't love just like the Stargirls before her.
So she was married. She didn't love him but he didn't love her either. Their relationship was a mixed-drink of two parts addiction, five parts a shared interest in glory and three parts a sexual battle they both loved to fight.
He admired her enthusiasm and her passion. He worshipped her curves and challenged her views and together they were feared. Together they were envied. Together they shone bright.
For she was a Stargirl, and she had plenty practise at shining bright. Plenty of practise at trying her hardest to shine the brightest of them all, any brighter and she'd burn up.
And then that's what the dog did. The brightest star in the sky. The Black was no match for him. Her baby cousin, her little Siri. She feared him. She envied him. She hadn't had much practise in that. She didn't intend on practising for much longer.
He was why she didn't practise any more. His mark burned bright on her arm. Like her; bright and Black. He helped her to glory and he was how she would get further than any. Snaking herself into something much more twisted. He saw it happen to her. Her husband did too.
He watched as his Stargirl started to burn brighter. At first he was mesmerised but then he realised that she was shining too bright.
He watched as the enthusiasm turned into obsession. As the passion turned into madness and fury.
The Black in and around her couldn't keep up. She wasn't like little Siri. She would burn up and the Black wouldn't be there to catch when she fell.
And then she fell. He fell too of course but it was only in miscalculation. She fell in madness. Her insanity wouldn't stop. She wouldn't either. She continued to torture them.

They weren't going to last. They weren't going to tell her where he was and the aurors were coming.
"Bellatrix lets go!" He tried to stop her. He tried to pull her away but his efforts were proven futile when she slapped him and continued the torture. He wasn't even sure who was she was torturing any more. She seemed to be suffering just as much as them.
Crucio
She wouldn't stop and he could see the dam breaking. The star in her burning.
The aurors came and in her frenzy of madness and insanity he pitied her. And 14 years later in Azkaban he pitied her because salvation never came for the Stargirl but she was too far gone to realise.
With the mind of a killer and the body of sinner she didn't stand a chance.
