(The Mystery Shack, Living Room)
Pacifica arrived and walked to the living room, where Mabel was waiting for her. The blonde girl smiled and walked to Mabel, who took out an apple once she and Pacifica were face-to-face.
"Okay, Pacifica, this is what we call a trade." Mabel started. "I give you something of particular value and you give me something in return of equal value. Here, I'll give you an apple that cost me 10 dollars."
Mabel did as she said and handed Pacifica the apple. "In this scenario, what item would you trade with me?"
The rich blonde girl stood silent for a moment as she tried to think of something she could do. She then glanced at the apple, shrugged and handed it back to Mabel.
"N-No, Pacifica, you can't give me what I already gave you." Mabel replied as she gently let down Pacifica's offer and returned the apple. "Try to think of something that could be of equal value as the apple."
Pacifica thought again, and she got an unsure look as she failed to think of something. The girl eventually remembered something obvious; she was rich! So she took out her wallet and handed Mabel 10 dollars.
"Good job, Pacifica! You gave me the same amount of dollars that I paid for the apple!" Mabel complimented as she patted Pacifica's head. "We're making a lot of progress, but let's stop it there. Now, would you like to have a little picnic?"
"I know a store that sells a whole picnic set for 10 dollars only."
Hearing the girl's answer, Pacifica enthusiastically nodded and followed Mabel out of the shack and on to the store. The instant they left, Stan, walking on all four of his extremities, arrived and sniffed the ground.
"I'm pretty I smelled the scent of money in here." Stan remarked.
