(A/N I haven't updated in soo long, but I've just been overflowed with homework. I barely had time to type this. But here you guys go, an early Christmas present. I will update the story with Rebecca and Draco, not sure when though. Please don't hate me... :D)
"It's s-s-s-so cold." Lily Evans said, shivering, her teeth chattering loudly. It was a cold day in December, Christmas day to be exact. She had decided to come home for the holidays to spend time with her family. Well, at least, that was part of the reason. The other part was to get away from a certain James Potter, who it seemed had only gotten all the more annoying. She heard a knock at the door, and slowly stood up. She walked over to the door, opening it, then shutting it right away. The person behind it was the last person she expected and wanted to see. James Potter.
Lily opened the door slightly and peeked out of the crack. James was still standing there, a rather confused expression on his face, getting ready to knock again. She walked out of the door and closed it quietly behind her. "Potter?" How did you know where I lived?" she hissed out at him, looking around as though hoping no one would catch her with him, even though no one knew who he was.
"You know, usually people greet others with a hello." James mumbled, however didn't want to say it to loud for the fear of provoking Lily's anger.
"Well, are you going to answer my question?" Lily asked, crossing her arms. "How did you figure out where I live?"
James rubbed his hand on the back of his neck with an uneasy smile. "Well, last year, I might have, well, you know, followed you here." he said in an uneasy tone.
"Oh, so you're saying you stalked me?" Lily asked, outraged. She knew James was obsessed with her, but to the point of stalking?
"Well, yeah, but that's not what I came here to tell you." James said hurriedly. "The reason I came here was to give you this." he said, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a little box, wrapped neatly. He handed it to her with a small smile.
Lily opened the box to see it contained a little necklace. "I saw you looking at it once in Hogsmeade." James said as Lily looked at the necklace.
"Oh, so you were stalking me then too?" she asked, although not very angry. It was a very sweet thing of him to do, getting her this necklace. Especially since she had nothing to give him return. But did he expect anything? Well, why would he, seeing as just a few minutes ago, she completely hated him. Well, she still hated him, but this brought her hate down slightly.
"Thank you." she said at least, noticing that she had been silent for quite some time. "But, well, I didn't get you anything." she said, looking up at him. Wait, why did she even care whether or not she got him anything. It was James Potter. This was just another one of his plans to get her to like him. Well it wasn't going to work. She glanced back at the door. "I really should be getting inside now. Bye James." she said, walking inside and silently closing the door.
James stood there as she closed the door. A smile began to form on his face. "She called me James."
