Single Sheet Surprise: The Men of Bleach

Disclaimer: Bleach is not mine.

AN: Muse won't shut up long enough to let a copywriter write anything more than fanfic, so I'm appeasing her by starting another drabble/oneshot deal. As the name suggests, each scene MUST fit onto one sheet of notebook paper - front & back. I'm leaving it T for now, since I don't have enough room to write anything dirty in roughly 40 lines. Grr. :)

First pairing is of course AiGin. You know that's where my heart is even though I'm working on another storyverse right now.

Theme: Coffee & Tea.

Warnings: implied AiGin (yaoi), swearing on Gin's part.

Storytime!

The more Gin thought about it, it wasn't just the law standing between him and Aizen having a formal union. NO, his Aizen-taichou was already married to his first love: that damned tea. Maybe that wasn't really the case, but it felt that way. That unnerved him -- after all, he had his good qualities too, if you wanted bring value into the equation. Gin could wield Shinsou with deadly accuracy and wear the 5th Lieutenant's badge with enough pride to give the Kuchiki lordling competition. He was loyal, dedicated, and a willing lover behind closed doors. Open doors too, but Aizen-taichou wasn't feeling that adventurous yet.

Damn that tea.

What did anyone need tea for, anyway? Gin needed energy -- you could even say that to keep up with his beloved Aizen-taichou and the demands of the 5th, Gin needed gratuitous amounts of energy. What was the point of drinking something that couldn't get him going? Bleh.

So when he finally made his way back to the 5th and found yet another damned pot of tea simmering quietly, Gin lost it. "Captain...why tea? Why does it always gotta be tea? Why na coffee? Gives ya extra energy ya know!" Gin could barely get the words out before Aizen was looking over him, his reiatsu curling around him ominously.

The reply was simple, punctuated by nips to the soft shell of Gin's pale ear. "Simple: I like tea, Gin. Besides...do you really want me to have more energy?"

Gin's smile lengthened to a size that would have made Shinsou jealous. Now that his Captain put it that way, Gin figured it was really a blessing in disguise that the older man preferred tea. Gin didn't think he would live long if it were any different.

AN: Man, single sheet surprises are challenging! I had to whip up a story unplanned and on the quick and try to keep things connected. I *SO* wanted to make it more of a proper oneshot - you can probably tell I could have gone on for a bit off of this prompt. I *might* use this series as setup for classic oneshots. We'll see.

What? A fic without my self promotion ninja tactics? I know, I know. I couldn't think of anything witty. It happens.
