It was supposed to be him that holds his little girl when her feelings get hurt. Have her crawl into his bed when she wakes from a night terror. He's the one she's supposed to run to! He is her father! The one that gave her life!
Not Him! Not the man her mother married! The mutt that didn't risk it all! He didn't have the right to take away what he helped create! Yet it was him his baby girl preferred. Always going to him….
The pain his heart feels when he sees love and adoration she feels for the man kills him. Everything he did is left in the dark because the mutt out shined him. He doesn't get a glance from his baby. She doesn't give him a smile.
No smile, no happy shriek when he returns…Nothing, at all! He's tried everything. His siblings, rather Kol, say it's payback for what he made him do over the years.
It didn't hurt as bad as it does today. Watching her walk down the aisle. Beside her is the mutt. He was the one that was supposed to walk her! Give her away. Not that he would give her up to just anyone. It should have been him that that poor soul should have asked for her hand. Even if Klaus laughed in his face and said no. He was denied that pleasure and now he's alone watching at the side lines with waiting arms.
Why couldn't things stayed the same? All her smiles were for him. It was the pup that came along and tainted it all. It's a fact that she's daddy's little girl… sadly it's not him that she calls daddy… but she will always be his little girl. Always and Forever.
