Based on a picture I drew. They die, they visit the earth. that's all I'm going to say because I don't want to give away anything. 'Nuff said
~~~~~KHCrazy~~~~~
Rain blinked, vision obscured. She blinked a few times once more, and her vision clarified. Feeling different, she stood. Her legs were weak from lying down for a period of time; she fell back down, legs folded under her breast.
In another attempt to stand, she got up, and stood her ground for at least a minute before she began to walk. She moved, left rear leg moving in time with her right foreleg; right rear leg moving in time with her left foreleg. Successfully going forward, she realized that the ground underneath her hooves felt creamy and downy… almost like… a cloud! Rain was actually standing on a cloud! She stared at the cloud, thinking it was some type of mirage. It sure wasn't.
If I'm on a cloud… that must mean… I'm not alive anymore… Rain thought in horror. "Spirit!" she squealed, her ears flicking back and forth; head held high. "Where are you?" she cried. She turned in small, tight circles, mane and tail flying. When she stopped, her flaxen mane brushed softly against her chestnut shoulder. The pinto mare was being very irrational, head still held high, ears still unsurely flicking. Her blue eyes shut quickly, tears releasing from her tear ducts. It rolled down her cheekbone, and onto the cloud, which absorbed the salty tear.
From somewhere in front of her, she heard a friendly whicker. It sounded familiar… Spirit!
She half-reared, her tail brushing the fleecy clouds. "Spirit!" she neighed, but before she bolted across the clouds, she looked curiously over at Spirit's back, where her eyes keyed on a pair of dark golden wings… Like the ones you see on birds. "Spirit…" she nickered, walking slowly closer to her mate.
"Rain…" he replied.
"You have wings!" they said in unison.
"I do?" Rain asked, confused. She looked over at her back, and jumped in horror. "I do!" she enunciated. "I have wings!"
"Rain, we aren't alive anymore. All that means is I don't think we can go down to the ground," Spirit frowned, pawing the clouds with his sleek black hoof.
Someone scoffed. "Of course that's not true!"
Spirit and Rain turned to look at a beautiful mare. She was a pure white, and her eyes an intimidating blue. "Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Amalaysia, Queen of the pegasi. I see you two are newly deceased?" she nickered questionably.
"Yes," Spirit said. "Died over a waterfall,"
"Well, what you two were saying earlier was wrong. The people of the living cannot see you when you descend from the clouds, or when you walk on the plane. You can go to the Land of the Living anytime you desire," Queen Amalaysia smiled.
"Thank you, my Queen," Spirt bowed his head and he and Rain flew quietly down to the Land of the Living.
Chapter two is coming soon!
