A/N: Just a little Stevidot oneshot I thought of while looking at some cute fanart. Enjoy, and lots of Cookie Cats for kurona7 for favouriting and Day6 & Doctor Ross Ph.D for following my Lapidot!AU story, 'Looking For Something New'.

Enjoy!

P.S: the POV's go in this order- Steven, Citrine, Peridot. JSYK.

I carefully worked on the paper card, my tongue sticking out in concentration as I drew.

"Whatcha making, Steven?" Peridot asked, peering over my shoulder. I yelped and covered it up.

"Nothing!" I squeaked. She raised an eyebrow.

"Really." She snatched it up and looked at it. "Is that… You and I?" She asked, confused.

"N-No, g-give it b-back," I stammered, cheeks flaming red. She opened it and scanned it quickly, then did a double take and read it more slowly, her face turning emerald green.

She gave sat next to me and handed it back. "You mean that?" She asked softly, and I gulped.

"Y-Yes," I stuttered. She sighed and closed her eyes. I did, too, remembering what she probably was.

"Steven, I'm sorry I couldn't save you or the billions of other lifeforms who matter far, far less to me. Do you have any last words?!" Peridot screamed as the drill shook, the Cluster taking form.

I threw my arms around her. "I love you, Peridot."

I opened the card and read in my head my message to the silent green gem who sat beside me.

Dear Peridot,

Do you remember when we were in the drill and you asked for my last words? I want you to know that they're still true. I love you, Peridot. As more than just a friend. Happy Valentine's Day!

Love, Steven.

I sighed and shut the card. It was out there now. Perhaps a little earlier than was intended, but still.

Peridot stood up, and offered me her hand. She smiled softly. "Citrine?" She asked quietly. I couldn't believe it.

I took her green hand, dancing with her, finally dipping her. I whispered, "I love you, Peridot," before softly pressing my lips to hers.

I giggled and wrapped my bottom arms around my torso happily, the other two stretching above my head.

"Peridot, Steven, what are you two- oh my!" Pearl gasped, and I looked up, smiling at the pale Gem.

"Hiya, Pearl!" I said optimistically. She blinked before pinching the bridge of her nose.

"Hello, Citrine," she said grudgingly.

I giggled again before poking her nose lightly and grinning. "Boop." Pearl rolled her eyes.

"Honestly, you're more childish than Amethyst," she grumbled. I shrugged and winked.

"What is this?" She murmured, picking up the card. I panicked.

"Put it down!" I yelled, and she dropped it in surprise. I knew what she saw. Two wide green eyes. Golden yellow star-shaped hair framing an anxious face. Top hands reached out as if to stop her, the other two grabbing my hair in fear. She put her hands up in self-defense.

"Okay, Citrine. Calm down."

I sat as me for two days, only separating because Steven needed sleep.

I watched the sleeping hybrid boy, and his clock switched from 11:59 pm to 12:00 am. February fourteenth. I looked at the card on the floor.

I bent to pick it up and smiled softly, stroking the incomplete cover.

"Happy Valentines Day, Steven."

I smiled when he answered- he hadn't been asleep at all.

"Happy Valentines Day, Peridot."
