Author's Note

I will be using American currency because that is what I know so I'll stick with it.

I stared blankly at the words on the rose gold screen, or I would have if I had eyes and wasn't a formless being.

You have died.

GAME OVER!

Restart?

Yes. No.

Now, this is the moment most people would be freaking the fuck out but, thankfully, I'm not like most people. So I calmly pressed yes, or I would have if I had hands and wasn't a formless being but the screen seemed to understand my intentions and rewrote itself.

Choose two magical Perks.

Metamorphmagus.

Allows you to change your appearance.

Animagus.

Allows you to become your inner animal.

Wandless.

Allows you access to wandless magic.

...

...

...

...

...

Continue.

And many more but these were ones that caught my attention and I got to say that I'm feeling very heavy Harry Potter vibes. Anyways it wasn't very hard to choose between the three Wandless and Metamorphmagus having the most potential out of all of them. After I pressed continue, the screen rewrote itself again.

Choose three nonmagical Perks.

-Stealth Trait

All stealth skills level twice as fast.

-Longevity

+3 Vit each level.

-Lucky Day

On certain days all xp gains are tripled.

-Golden Rule

All loot gains are doubled.

...

...

...

...

...

Continue.

And again there were many more but these were the only ones that had any potential, in the end, Stealth Trait lost out and I chose the other three. I then pressed continue and again the screen was rewritten.

Adjust your stats to your preferences.

Well, I can't believe it. I'm Harry Potter the Boy-Who-Lived. ...I'm gonna shelve that for later. Now since this is a game it probably has a help menu, so Help.

-Help Menu-

Name: It's your name dumbass!

Age: Are you a fucking idiot?

Strength (Str): How much you can carry and how much physical damage you can deal. Str=DMG. Str*3= Maximum Carry Weight.

Dexterity (Dex): Affects your speed and accuracy.

Vitality (Vit): How much Hp you have. Vit*50=Hp

Endurance (End): Your Hp Regen. End=Hp Regen.

Intelligence (Int): How much Mp you have. Int*50=Mp

Wisdom (Wis): Your Mp Regen. Wis=Mp Regen.

Well my stats are well balanced so I didn't need to make any changes, so I pressed Continue.

And surprise, surprise it rewrote itself.

Have Fun!

"Up! Up! Get Up, you stupid boy! Up!" A shrill voice commanded from beyond the small door that closed off the cramped space under the stairs from the outside world.

"I'm up!" The half-hearted response came automatically as if I had said it for years. I snapped into awareness and looked around the dark, cramped space wildly.

"And make sure you don't burn the bacon this time boy!" The shrill voice huffed before walking off. I looked at the pop up that appeared when, who I assume is Petunia, huffed about burning the bacon.

'That doesn't look good.' I thought before something came over me and my body moved on its own. I felt I could stop it if I really tried but I was curious so I let my body do its thing.

My body grabbed something to the right and brought it to my face, I identified them as glasses. I put them on, everything went blurry for a split second before clearing up. I opened the door, headed to the kitchen and started breakfast while the giraffe watching me like a hawk. Half an hour later, a few pop-ups and the whale and the pig came down, the stairs creaking dangerously under them.

"Boy! You better not of burned anything!" The whale yelled sitting heavily on the abused chair. I said nothing and simply served the food all the while the pig tried to trip me, I then stood in the corner quietly while they ate, analyzing the feeling that was flowing in the air. When they were done they left the kitchen after telling me not to leave a spot on the dishes or there would be consequences.

"How did I get 5 Vit when I should have gotten 3 and how'd I get 2 Wis?" I asked myself but put it to the back of my mind to figure out later. Just when I finished washing dishes the whale came back and tossed a piece of paper at my face, it yelled at me that all the things on the list better be done by the time they all got back. It left the kitchen and moments later I heard the door open and close. I snorted and with a quick application of my magic the list went up in flames.

"Perks," I said before going to find what I needed.

"Ahh, that explains it," I said as I found out the source of the extra stats. I leisurely entered the pig's room and immediately found what I wanted, a good sized jar full of money.

"Damn, that pig is spoiled," I said when I found that the jar was full of twenty dollar bills. Taking it all I headed to the Whale's room and started looking for any money in there. My search was rewarded with a safe in the closet, I used my magic to open the safe and I found the jackpot. Several thousand dollars, documents, jewelry, and other valuable stuff. I only took the money, jewelry, and burned the documents. I then retreated outside but when I got to the sidewalk a red barrier sprang up and a notification appeared.

-Blood Barrier-

Caster: Lillian Rose Potter nee' Evans

This is a blood ward meant to protect {those of her blood} from anyone with murderous intentions.

Anchored to: #4 Private Drive, Surrey, England.

Modified by: Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore

Change Anchor?

Ahh, so it's anchored to a location but can it be anchored to a person? I mean it would kind have to if it was cast by Lily on me but was anchored here by Dumbledore. So I pressed Change Anchor and anchor it to myself.

Perk Gained

-Blood Barrier-

Negates 40% of Damage received.

...That is actually kinda OP but then again this is possible because of a willing human sacrifice so it makes sense it would be powerful. The human sacrifice already makes it powerful but the sacrifice being willing makes it even more so due to the way magic works in this world.

If I looked carefully I could briefly see the barrier in my peripherals. Anyway, I quickly made my way to the forest doing my best to avoid the prying eyes of the neighbors even getting a skill and leveling it up from my efforts.

Skill Gained!

Stealth Lv-9 Active

Hide from the prying eyes of others.

+45% chance to go unnoticed.

-2% for every level they have above you.

+2% for every level you have above them.

+18% Stealth DMG.

It leveled quickly because of all the people I had to avoid.

Finally making it to the forest the first thing I saw was bushes with big, blue, and strangely familiar berries. I was hungry but obviously wasn't going to eat them as I didn't know if they were poisonous or not.

+2 Wis!

And it seemed the game agreed with me. The thing that got me suspicious was the bushes were surrounding a clearing with a single door that wasn't connected to anything.

"Well curiosity killed the cat but satisfaction brought it back." And with that, I approached the door. When I was a few feet from the door a prompt appeared.

You have found a dungeon!

Recommended Levels: 1-10

Enter?

Yes. No.

Having nowhere else to go or do I pressed yes which I regretted when the door flew open and started sucking everything in front of it in, including myself.

Suddenly I was in another forest the trees were bigger, older, more vibrant. The air was cleaner and had a sort of quality to it but was missing something... it was missing magic but had something else instead. It was... breezier, lighter than magic was. Something moved to the left of me I quickly turned toward it but stopped dead when I saw it... it was a Meowth and it was growling at me, looking ready to pounce at my face.

Meowth

Lv-2

Hp: 100/100

Kill to gain: 30 Xp

It jumped at me with a yowl and being in a shorter body than what I was used to, I couldn't avoid the attack in time so I ended up with a few scratches.

10-40%= 6 DMG

Before it could pounce again I threw a fireball at it hitting it on its right side causing it to hiss in pain.

Meowth

Lv-2

Hp: 92/100

Kill to gain: 15 Xp

Status: Small Burn. -1 Hp/5s

"I did eight damage. Ok, yea I can work with that." I muttered to myself. I kept a constant stream of fire at the pokemon doing 8 damage per second until I killed it 12 seconds later.

-Battle Results-

+30 Xp

2 Shiny Gold Coin

4 Meowth Claws

You have created a spell!

Would you like to name it?

Yes. No.

I pressed yes and promptly named the spell.

-Ignis Lv-1 Active

DMG: 8

"Those berries were Oran Berries, no wonder they looked familiar." I snapped my fingers at my realization. I looked for the door that brought me here but found nothing but forest and the occasional clearing in the nearest vicinity.

So for the next few days, it was the same thing. Explore, fight, rest, explore, fight, rest, rinse and repeat. I encountered Meowths, Growliths, Caterpie, Ekans, and many more but they were the most abundant. The Meowths and Growliths mostly traveled in packs, packs which had pack leaders that were on average five levels above the rest of the pack. Caterpie was level 1, Meowths level 2, Growliths level 3, and Ekans was level 4. Nothing I couldn't handle without a bit of preparation.

I acquired many skills and leveled them up these are the magical ones.

-Ignis(Fire) Lv-20 Active

DMG: 46

-Aqua(Water) Lv-14 Active

DMG: 31

-Obice(Barrier) Lv-49

Durability: 260

I only really needed to use these two spells to fight and the barrier spell to contain the leaders until I'm done with its underlings. Because of my Potter Ancestry, Obice progressed at a ridiculous rate.

Stealth Lv-46 Active

Hide from the prying eyes of others.

+230% chance to go unnoticed.

-2% for every level they have above you.

+2% for every level you have above them.

+92% Stealth DMG.

-Throwing Mastery Lv-24 Active

Represents your ability to accurately throw a projectile.

Accuracy %: Skill Level + Dex = 77%

DMG: Skill Level + 1/2 Dex + Str

-Critical Hit Lv-8 Active

Increases damage dealt when an enemies weak point is struck.

+80% Crit DMG.

-Crafting Lv-22

Use materials to create something.

+44% Success rate.

Quality of materials used will determine the quality of the item made.

Stealth leveled like crazy because of the enhanced senses that pokemon had, I can't imagine its growth if I had chosen the stealth trait instead. Now crafting is the real gem. With the materials that I got off the pokemon the items I successfully made had interesting properties. For example, I made a dagger from the claws of a Meowth and the teeth of a Growlith with a handle made from the bones of a Mareep and a grip made from the hide of an Ekans and it resulted in this.

-Crafted Dagger

Quality: Great

Durability: 149/185

DMG: 35*2+Str

Inflicts Status: Paralyzed, Poisoned, Burned.

Yeah, this dagger is fucking nasty to be hit with.

Now from all my fighting and exploring my stats had progressed a lot as well.

-Stats-

I must say that my Hp regen is shit. The upside is that I also got perks for reaching 50 and 100 in my stats.

For achieving 50 in Dex.

-Perfect Movement-

There is no wasted movement.

So I sort of glide along the ground now, which is cool.

For reaching 50 in Vit.

-Converter-

You can convert Hp into Mp and vice versa

1Hp=5Mp 5Mp=1Hp

For obtaining 100 in Vit.

-Resistance-

You have acquired a 10% resistance to... well everything.

From getting 50 Int.

-Natural Caster-

Spells level 20% faster.

And finally from achieving 50 in Wis.

-Empathy-

Anything classified as a "Creature" will trust you easier.

Empathy is incredibly useful has everything non-human in the British Isles is classified as a creature.

Moving on, I had just found the boss' den, said boss was a level 25 Persian. How this dungeon is recommended for levels 1-10 I'll never know.

The Persian was currently sleeping but every so often its ears would twitch showing that it was aware of its environment even while sleeping. Generally, the higher the level the pokemon was the better their senses and instincts were so I don't know how much my stealth will help me in my endeavor to slay this boss. I carefully and silently climbed a relatively high tree a few yards downwind of the den. The Persian's ear flickered in my general direction but it showed no other reaction eventually the ear flickered toward a Caterpie I could see struggling to climb a tree.

Persian (Boss)

Lv-25

Hp: 1250/1250

Kill to gain: 625 Xp

Taking a breath I took out my crafted dagger and threw it at the red stone looking thing on the Persian's forehead. At the last instant, the Persian sensed the danger and tried to move out of the way but was too slow.

-Dmg

99*92%= 200

200*80%= 360

Persian (Boss)

Lv-25

Hp: 890/1250

Kill to gain: 625 Xp

Status: Paralyzed, Poisoned -5Hp/s, Burned -3Hp/s

The Persian Yowled in equal parts Pain and rage. Its movements were choppy before it could come within even a few meters of the tree I cast an Obice around its front, right leg. The durability in this case acting as damage. The spell severed the limb causing the pokemon to fall.

-Dmg

260*80%= 468

Persian (Boss)

Lv-25

Hp: 422/1250

Kill to gain: 625 Xp

Status: Poisoned -5Hp/s, Burned -3Hp/s, Heavy Bleeding -25Hp/s, Crippled

10 seconds later of a constant stream of fire at its head finally killed the Persian, its body just dispersing into lights that, seconds later, solidified into a door.

-Battle Results-

+625*3=1875 Xp

2 Mysterious Red Stones

8 Persian Claws

6 Persian Teeth

10 Pokeballs

2 Persian Skins

I sighed at the frankly, thankfully, anticlimactic fight. I walked up carefully, and got a prompt less than a meter away from the door.

Would you like to leave this dungeon?

Yes. No.

*WARNING*

Time flows differently in the dungeons. When you exit your body will automatically adjust to how much time had passed outside of the dungeon.
