"Stacey and Claudia are cute together, don't ya think, Kris?"

If someone told me five years ago that I'd spend my high school years dating Alan Gray I would have told you that you were a nutcase. He had been told by Cary Reitlin during one of Cary's furious outbursts after a fight with Abby that the note he received from Claudia was really for Jeremy Rudolph. And well, I had been the one to confirm the truth, after Claudia had broken up with him.

And if you told me five years ago that Claudia would dump Alan for Stacey, I would have gasped in shock and told you that not only you were a nutcase, but you were a disgusting lunatic at that. Yes, I do know that a nutcase and a lunatic are the same thing, but that's what happened. The next day Claudia and Stacey were passing stares at each other, and both blushing a lot. I think I was the only one who really noticed, until the past three months.

Until now, the last day of our senior year.

They go around school holding hands, and they've declared that they're dating. Funny enough, Claudia's going to the Art Institute of Pittsburg, and Stacey's going to NYU, close enough to commute to each other. Stacey plays with Claud's earrings, and Claudia with Stacey's hair- and they both comment on little things like freckles, or a dimple that's small enough not to get noticed. This isn't anything new to me, because I've been alone with those two, like during shopping trips I've been forced to go on, and they do stuff like that all the time.

The thing that made today odd was after Alan pulled me over to propose- and oddly enough, I said yes. Noticing the small engagement ring on my finger, Claudia whispered something in Stacey's ear, and Stacey whispered back, looking gloomy. That's when I realized that neither Stacey's nor Claudia's parents would approve of their relationship, and that from the way the government talks, they wouldn't be able to get married if they managed to stay together.

My face fell, because not only do I know about Stacey and Claudia, I know about Logan and Bart. .

Stacey and Claudia are cute together. They walk around; shocking people by appearing to be stereotypical straight girls, and then call each other by pet names that only lovers would call each other. They walk around; dressed like the Hilton sisters, and dump good-looking guys.

Well, these are two of by closest friends. They make out constantly in front of me, and I make out in front of them with Alan. They drag me on trips to the mall, trying to get me into clothes I would only wear dead, and I drag them to my games. Then our counterparts, Alan, Bart and Logan, drag us to the skateboarding competition that Pete Black's in.

Might I say that my friends look good together? I swear, if I wasn't straight. Really.

"Yes, Alan, I know. They are cute together."
