The demon came to him when he was sleeping, annoying him and interrupting a very

good dream that he was having.

"That really is all you think about isn't it?" The demon said, surveying him with a half

raised eyebrow. The scene disappated, Dean stood slowly up and fixed his jeans.

He didn't say anything for a second, he surveyed the newcomer whose eyes were blood red. The last time he had seen this woman he had pratically been on his knees, selling his soul to save his little brother from death. Given that he only had a year left before his bill came due, he was not surprised that he was starting to have dreams about the demon that gave him his ticket to hell. Heck, he hadn't forgotten the African dream root experience yet.

"Didn't Sam kill you?" Dean asked, mirroring her stance and folding his hands.

The demon ignored the jib, smiled again and said, "I have come to offer you something."

Dean narrowed his eyes and willed himself to waken, already bored with the experience. Come on Sam, he thought, now's the time to make a noise or turn on the tv and wake me up. God knows you do it often enough when I want to sleep.

Dean? She pressed, reminding him that he was still asleep.

Fine, he said, deciding to go along with it. "What can you offer me?"

"A new life."She paused and looked at him, perhaps waiting to see the effect on him. Dean humphed, showing his displeasure.

"I will give you back your mother. I will give you back your father. A new life for everyone. No more hell. No more hurt. No eternal damnation. No more pain. Hows that for a deal?"

"Last time I made a deal with you," Dean couldn't help but point out, "I lost my soul."

The demon smiled and purred, "Yes, but this is a way for you to get out of it. Your precious little brother won't die-you were a good boy, you never actively tried to break your deal. You can live a nice long boring life. Hell, you can do whatever the hell you want. You can all be together again, think about it "the Winchesters". How good does that sound?"

Dean narrowed his eyes, reminded himself that this was just a dream and asked, "How?Why?"

"How?" She shook her head, "I won't bother you with the details sweety. Judging by the dream I just witnessed, I don't think that you would be able to handle the complexities of it all-"

"Hey-"

"Just listen!" she said, shouting over him, "All you need to know is, if you just say yes- just one little word- I can make it so Azazeal never visited you all that night. Your mother would get a chance to grow old gracefully and your father could finally get some rest. Everyone would be happy! I promise."

Dean hesitated, trying to block out all the thoughts he had been repressing over the past year. That demons last speech in particular had reminded him forcefully of the incident with the djinn. It was so alluring, so tempting...

But it was all a dream. A dream!!

"What would you say to that?" she wheedled, interrupting his thoughts.

"What?" he asked harshly.

"Would you like that?" he asked silkily, "Yes?"

"Yes," he said in a voice barely audible, and to himself. But she heard it, smiled, blew Dean a kiss and he woke up. And Sam was gone.
