Heyy people! This is my first oneshot and is for Littlemisslovelysxx's contest. Enjoy!
Disclaimer: I only own Delilah, nuthin else. Get it? Got it? Good.
Patton's POV
"Why are you being such a baby?" I heard a familiar voice demand from behind the door of my locker. I shut the door to see my cousin Delilah leaning against the locker next to mine, her math book cradled in her arms and a look of disapointment in her big brown eyes.
I rolled my eyes, "Sorry, wrong locker Dee. Patton Aric Drilovsky is not a baby. Period."
"Oh really?" Delilah raised an eyebrow.
"Really," I nodded, turning away from her and walked down the crowded hallway of Gallagher High.
Delilah quickly fell into step beside me, or, attempted to. "Then just admit it."
"Admit what?" I asked picking up the pace as Delilah got lost in a crowd of beefy senior boys.
"That you like her!" Delilah explained, ducking under a ladder two of the janitors were carrying down the hallway.
I nudged my cousin as soon as she caught up with me. "Don't you know it's bad luck to walk under a ladder?" I teased.
"Stop changing the subject! PLEASE!" Delilah begged exasperatedly as we turned down the hallway where my next class, biology, was located. "Don't be a baby and just ask the poor girl out already!"
These words stopped me dead in my tracks. "Delilah, what are you talking about?"
Delilah blew her black bangs out of her eyes. "I'm trying to tell you that she's liked you since you since she was like, 13 and has wanted you to ask her out for forever and a half," She replied in a tone that seemed to say duh. "Oh, um, I wasn't supposed to say that..." Delilah's eyes got wide and she turned and fled down the hallway.
"Dee! Don't you dare walk away from me! Delilah! Ugh," I groaned and headed into class.
Riiiiiiiiiiiing the bell went off and Fanny and Kuki tried to slip into the classroom sucessfully, since our senile teacher continued her lecture about wearing saftey goggles while preforming an experiment.
Fanny took her seat in the desk across the aisle from mine. I tore a piece of paper out of my notebook and scribbled a note to her.
A little late are we? What were you doing?
Fanny unfolded the paper and rolled her eyes as she snatched her pen and wrote back, flicking it over to my desk.
It's none of your buisness stoopid boy.
I grimaced.
Harsh, I thought you'd grown out of that, 'I hate all boys in the world' phase.
She scoffed.
Do you even know me?
I looked over at her catching her eyes for the first time today.
I guess I don't. Delilah told me something today that changed my opinion of you.
Fanny. Well, let's just say, if looks could kill, the whole state of Virginia would be dead.
IT ISN'T TRUE! I SWEAR! SHE'S A LIAR! A FILTHY ROTTEN LIAR! SHE LIES!
I almost fell out of my chair laughing, and Mrs. Gleeson turned and glared at me.
"Sorry, sorry! Just thought of something funny, that's all!" I raised my hands in mock defeat and Fanny covered her mouth with her hands to keep from bursting out in laughter too.
And so, the rest of the class period went on without anything exciting.
I met up with Fanny as the bell rang signaling the end of class. "It's okay if she wasn't lying."
"So, maybe she was telling the truth an eensy, weensy little bit," She whispered, so quietly that I could barely hear her, looking down.
I grabbed her shoulders and she looked up. "She knew about me too. Delilah knows everything. Now, do you want to go out with me?"
So, there ya go! My first oneshot!
Sorry is Fanny was a little OOC at the end...
