AN: This is just a short little drabble I wrote today. I probably didn't do it justice, but ah well. This was inspired by a conversation some of my friends had on TokBox a few days ago. Kenz, Sarah, and everyone else who participated, thanks for the inspiration!
Please read and review!
Rose wasn't sure at times if this man was Her Doctor or not.
He certainly looked exactly like the Doctor though. He sounded like him and even thought like him. He was a living, breathing clone of the man she loved, of the man she had loved for so many years.
Even though he was human, he was fascinated by everything humans did, how they lived such normal, ignorant lives when there was so much out there in the universe. His curiosity and child-like wonder and amazement, his need to protect her, his desire to always be with her, and how his voice and smile brightened every room, Rose forgot at times that she was not with the Doctor anymore.
But she was, she would chide herself every time these thoughts came back. This wasn't the Time Lord Doctor, but he was the Doctor nevertheless. She was never completely convinced and sometimes she would lay her head against his chest and forget that she wasn't going to hear two hearts beating.
Was this the man that loved her, she wondered so often. The Doctor had loved her. They had loved each other. Certainly, this man had his memories, but did he actually love her or did he know that the Doctor loved her?
But when he bounded towards her happily and wrapped his arms around her, when his soft brown eyes looked deep into hers, when she felt his heart quicken as she touched him, when he whispered his love to her, that was when she knew.
That was when she knew that he was her Doctor.
