"H-hey, stop that..."
Tone soft, delicate, and honey-drizzled, the small teen murmured those words, though quickly contradicting them; he leaned against the warm hand gently stroking his cheek, closing his eyes slowly. Nothing was as sweet, nothing as pure... His movements when the hand shifted would be barely noticeable to any onlooker, but the blond took immediate notice. Leaning down slightly, easily, he brushed chapped, naked lips over the pale, creamy skin, stopping at the corner of the other's. At that moment, the gaze that marred his facade could only be described as relatively irritated.
"Why do you hide...?"
It's a trivial question, he thinks, and it's already been answered- just as if it were a cue, the noirette smiled mildly, before replying.
"I don't want to see... The world, that is. I've told you before." The following sigh indicated the conversation was nothing more than trite and worn out, though he'd be damned if he left it there. Fingers hovering above jet black bangs, he waited for the silent permission. Though it was hesitant, a weak nod was given. Swiftly, the obscuring locks were removed from in front of his face. Bare bare bare to the world and he could see all of it and-
"What do you see?"
The inquisition was blunt, yet purely and obviously heartfelt.
"I don't have a clue what you're talking about." The low, raspy growl that followed resonated through his chest indefinitely, and he winced visibly.
"Here, right now. What is it that you see when you look at the world?"
"I..." The answer to that question was obvious, so painfully obvious, so why why why was it so hard to say it? Swallowing nervously, he gazed right into those gorgeous, steely cerulean eyes.
"You. You and only you. Something beautiful and pure and lovely, and that I don't deserve. Something... Someone wonderful. Someone I care for deeply. Someone I'd give everything up for. Someone who saved me."
There was a certain thing about the way his master's eyes lit up at that, at the way a smile more handsome and charming and just flat out stunning than he had ever been graced with that made him forget, if just for a moment about everything. As if all the horrid memories and dreams and dark thoughts had never existed... If only it were that simple.
"Elliot Nightray, all I see is you. You're lovely and beautiful and perfect beyond comparison. Someone I aspire to be worthy of. Someone... I'm proud to say I love irrevocably and unconditionally."
