A/N: So, this is the first Kataang thing I've written. Wooo. I love Kataang. :D

Aang stumbled in the dark, tripping over toys as he made his way to his and Katara's room. He caught the wall and steadied himself. The light clicked on by the bed.

"Aang?" Katara asked, sleepily.

He walked over to her. "I didn't mean to wake you up," he whispered, brushing hair out of her face.

"I don't mind." She tugged on the sash of his airbender robes, pulling him close enough for her to kiss him.

"Don't. Ever. Be gone. For so long. Again." She muttered.

"It was only two months," he said, though it had seemed like he'd been in Republic City for much longer.

She looked at him sadly. "You missed so much. Kya and Bumi have gotten so much bigger; Bumi even said his first words."

Aang sat down on the bed, careful to avoid sitting on her legs. "Really?" He had been home for almost a year before he left for Republic City, and that was when Bumi said his first words.

Katara had tears in her eyes. "He said 'daddy'. He knew you weren't there. He missed you. Kya, too."

Aang cursed his luck. Of course, the one time since they were born that he left for over a week, and he missed a lot.

Then it hit him.

"I have an idea," he said. "And that way, I wouldn't have to be away so often."

"What?" Katara asked, putting her hand on his shoulder.

"What if we move to Republic City? That way I wouldn't have to leave every few weeks to check on the acolytes at Air Temple Island. We could live there."

"I don't know Aang…" Katara trailed off. "What about the acolytes here?"

"I've been training them since after the war. I think they can take care of this place if we go."

"…Aang?" Katara asked quietly.

"Yeah?"

"There's something else you need to know." She leaned back a bit, pushing the blanket off. Her hands went down to her stomach that was slightly bigger than normal.

Aang's mouth opened. "You…"

She nodded. "I found out after you left…"

He smiled, and leaned forward, putting a kiss on her forehead.

"I think it's an airbender," she whispered.

"Why do you think that?"

"Think about it. We've already got a waterbender and non-bender. Chances are he's an airbender."

"He?"

"I don't know," she admitted. "I just have a feeling."

"Well, you were right with Kya and Bumi."

She smiled. He leaned forward and kissed her, one hand resting on her stomach.

"I love you."

"I love you too," she whispered.

"Daddy!" Bumi screamed, running toward them and tripping. He started to cry.

Katara laughed as Aang picked him up. Kya walked in, rubbing her eyes. When she saw Aang, she grabbed onto his leg and wouldn't let go.

"I bet you're glad you're home," Katara said, still laughing.

"Yeah," Aang said. "I am."

Once Kya and Bumi had fallen asleep on Katara and Aang's bed, Katara whispered, "So…about going to Republic City."

"Yeah?"

"I would like to go…then we'd be with you, and the kids and I wouldn't have to be without you so much."

"It's settled then," he smiled.

He put his hand on Kya, leaning over her and Bumi to kiss Katara, who was already falling asleep again. Aang smiled at his little family; Katara sleeping with one arm around Bumi, and the other over her stomach, Kya with her head on Aang's leg, and Bumi cuddled again Katara with his thumb in his mouth.

He leaned his head back on the pillow. He was glad to be home.
