Dear Dairy…' Lance poked his pencil to his face, "I don't think that's how you spell it." He muttered to himself before continuing.
'It's been about a year now since we found the Blue Lion and started team Voltron. The lions are hiding here on Earth. SOOO much has happened. We defeated Zarkon. But there are some angry Galra still out in the universe. Shiro, Matt, Pidge, Hunk, Keith, Allura, Coran, Shay and Lotor came back to Earth with me. Before we defeated Zarkon he somehow acquired info about our families. Matt and Pidge's dad was killed in front of them. Hunk's parents were murdered… My mom was with them too.' Lance stopped writing to dry his tears. He didn't want to get his new diary ruined. After he calmed down a little he began to write again, 'Shays grandma, mom, dad and brother were killed. If Lotor had any family besides the monster who was killing ours, they probably would have died too. Luckily though, Shiro, Lotor, Coran and Allura pulled through and freed us. We were too distraught to fight for a while though. Finally we pulled through and we managed to kill him. It's been three weeks since we returned. We hid the lions somewhere in Texas. Keith knew the area really well. After we hid them we moved to Missouri. We're all currently living in a five bedroom apartment. Pidge and Matt share a room, Shiro and Allura share a room, Keith and I share a room, Hunk and Shay share a room and Coran and Lotor share a room. Although I'm pretty sure Lotor and Coran take turns sleeping on the couch.' Lance thought carefully about what else he should write. He didn't want anything too personal in his diary because he knew one day he may want to get this published. If he mentioned his feelings for Keith and they got that published…
"Hey Lance." The boy he was thinking about spoke from the doorway.
Lance closed his diary and with a slightly smug smile he answered, "Yeeeeeeeeeeah?"
Keith looked at him weirdly for a moment before continuing, "Wanna go for a run? It's really nice out today."
"Yeah sure." Lance smiled, jumping out of the chair. He threw the diary onto his bed and followed him out. Once they were by the front door Lance pushed Keith back, "I'll race you around the block!"
Keith grinned as Lance began running. Keith gave him a few seconds before pursuing him, catching up and eventually passing him. The face Lance gave Keith as he passed would have had Keith laughing-but he needed to win. It was in their blood to be against each other. The one couldn't survive without being better than the other.
Keith quickly turned the corner, slightly tripping as he ran.
Lance caught up and grabbed his jacket, "Slow the hell down mullet!" He exclaimed.
Keith smirked and slipped out his jacket. He looked over his shoulder and saw Lance stopped running. Keith slowed down a bit and looked at him, "I know I'm awesome but don't stop."
Lance walked over to him, "You.. Are…" Then he began running again, "A LOOOSER!"
Keith sighed and decided to just let him win.
