CHAPTER 1: The Strongest Among us
"Hey Goten?" called Trunks over to his best friend. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon near the Son house and the 13 year old boys were meditating. They had just stopped sparing when they had decided to do so.
"Hai?" answered Goten as he stoped himself from falling out of his trance.
"Who do you think is the strongest of us all? Between the saiyans I mean..."no offence to Krillan or Yancha but their just downright weak thought Trunks.
"Well, now, I don't think I would know. Both our fathers are stronger than even Kami! But who knows... it could just as well be Gohan..."
"Would it ever be possible for one of us to be stronger?"
"Why are you asking ME this??? I don't know any more than you do" stated Goten in an annoyed tone.
"Okay okay!! I was just curious."
"Im sorry. Its just that I'm very edgy these days."
"Why's that?"
"Um...see...Ive been feeling strange chi's around... Everytime I feel it, I head in that direction, but it turns there's no one. It's like a um..." at that, Goten started moving his arms in a wavelike motion. Even if his mother's name was Chichi, it seemed she didn't put as much pressure on Geten for his studies than she did for Gohan; that is why Goten isn't the smartest person in the world.
".... Ha!! Haha! You mean like a tidal wave??"
"Yeah..." said a confused Goten.
"Well...your right that is something to be worried about...and the fact that me and the others can't feel it doesn't put my mind at ease. All though I don't think it's something we should dwell on much, I'll talk to mom `bout it, ok?"
"Yeah! Thanks man!" The boys high fived eachother and 3 hours later went to the Son house to eat a nice hot homecooked meal.
"So Trunks, when is your mother expecting you?" Chichi asked. It appeared as if no one was listening, and if she didn't know better she would have thought so too. At least I can trust that their listening... Aw, these Saiyans will one day get over my head...
When the meal ended, Trunks finally responded Chichi by simply saying, "Im late, thanks for reminding me! Bye Goten! Goku! Chichi!"

Trunks came home to an empty house. He washed up, watched TV played some PS2 and finally went to bed. Before going to sleep he lost himself in though; I should talk to mom about that tidal wave thinggie...could be important. I wish mom would pay more attention to me.... Shes never around except in the mornings and even then she acts weird. I guess I never noticed she's not a morning person...*yawn*...and dad...hes always training, or making me do so or is with mom...*yawn* ....maybe...we should...spar......
A scream inturrupted Trunk's thoughts....
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! VEGETA!!!!!!! TRUNKS!!! HEEEEEEEELP!!!!!AAAAAH-----" and then once again silenced.
