The small crowd applauded as Catherine and Trowa stepped out for their performance. Taking their places they begin their act to amaze the audience. Bowing when they finished they went behind the curtain, the crowd cheering on still.
Those days are gone
Now I want you so much
The night is long

Never meant to feel this way

Trowa took off his mask and laid it aside.
"Here Trowa,"
Catherine said, tossing him a towel as she put her daggers away. He nodded a thanks as he wiped his face. She went to her dressing room to change, and Trowa couldn't help but watch her as she left. He wandered outside and looked up to the sky. A feeling coming to his stomach that he didn't understand.

New feelings were rising up in him. Feelings that he had buried, tossed aside. Feelings that weren't going to let themselves be ignored any longer.

And I start to tremble

"Feel like soup tonight, Trowa?"
Catherine asked as she came up behind him.
"Uh, sure Cathy."
He said quietly. His heartbeat had quickened and he had struggled to keep his voice normal.

Again he watched her leave and fought hard not to want to reach out to her. He sat down on the stool by the fire and stared into the flames, his mind filled with mixed feelings and thoughts.

"Here you go,"
Cathy said, placing a bowl of hot soup next to him. Again she turned to leave, but a firm hand upon her wrist stopped her short. She turned, seeing Trowa holding onto her as he got up.

"Stay with me tonight, Cathy?"
She heard him say; she felt her body tighten as his eyes looked deeply into hers. Trowa felt that time stood still as they remained there, the crackling of the fire the only sound. Their hands together.

"You have no idea how long I have waited to hear you say that."
She whispered, a smile coming to her face. She could feel the tears welling up in her eyes. Trowa smiled softly as he brought her close, kissing her smiling lips, tasting her fallen tears, and holding her tightly.
