Hermione Granger sat in the common room, trying to focus on her Charms homework. She sighed. She couldn't get him out of her mind. It'd been like this since he had started going out with her. In the beginning she had tried to talk herself out of the theory of actually being jealous. He was one of her best friends. They'd known each other forever.

Ever since 1st year, the year that Harry had got the Sorcerer's Stone away from Voldemort, she had never in a million years believed that she would like him. If she had known she would fall for him she would have never believed it.

But would he like her in that way? She was afraid to say anything to him. If she did he ht reject her. I mean he does have her. Hermione couldn't stand her. I mean she did like her when she wasn't dating one of her best friends. But he has been here. He has let her cry on his shoulder. Even though they fight a lot, she still had fallen for one of her best friends.

But love works in weird ways. I mean I would have thought I would have fallen for my other best friend, before I fell for this one. Harry was so brave, had so much courage, and wasn't bad on the eyes. But no, she fell for her other best friend Ronald Weasley. Ron. Ron Weasley.

She looked down at her Charms homework. It wasn't going to get done. She glanced over at Ron. He was trying to concentrate on his homework too. But he was looking as though he was in deep thought about something. It's probably about her. It was so him. God, why did she have to fall for him.

Ron glanced up and caught her eye. They starred at each other for a little bit. Ron finally smiled. She smiled back at him. He had no idea what she was really feeling. He would soon. She promised herself. When he broke up with Lavender she would tell him her real feelings. But until then she would watch him from afar, and be his friend, his smart, know-it-all friend. Who argues with him just to see him mad, because she thinks it's cute. Who watches him when he doesn't see her. And who is madly in love with him.
