I do not own Sailor Moon. I wish!!
There's a big light. It's very pretty, isn't it? Like a sun... only hotter. Big white light, and it's gone as suddenly as it appeared. My, how quiet it's gotten! No more noisy battle..and where did everyone go? Oh, there they are. I'm floating! Wow! It's pretty amazing isn't it? I can look down at the battle below me. There's Eternal Sailor Moon and Galaxia. There's the Starlights, too. And I can see Sailor Mars, Sailor Venus, and Sailor Jupiter, too. And I see me. How come I'm just laying there when there's a world to save? Hmm..I should wake myself up. But no matter how hard I try, I won't move. And my shoulders are so still and cold! Eternal Sailor Moon is yelling something. This doesn't seem right. No one else will move either. Sailor Mars is lying with her wrist over her eyes. They're still open, those eyes, staring at the ceiling. I try to close them for her, it's not good to sleep like that. But my hand won't cooperate. It passes right through her face. "Mercury! Come on!!" I look up, and my friends are all above me, floating. "It's not important, Mercury." Says Sailor Mars. "We've all got things to wrap up, Ami. Let's go." Says Sailor Jupiter. She sounds sad.
This is Ryo's house. I wonder what he's been up to. I remember him so well...he's someone I need to talk to before I go. "Ryo....wake up for a minute." I say, and watch him open his beautiful eyes. He gasps. "Ami....what...what happened to you???" I smile and tell him not to worry. It doesn't hurt anymore. "But...you're...you're dead, Ami! Why?" He's starting to cry.
"Don't do that, Ryo. And don't be afraid. I need to tell you something before I go."' "W-w-what?" He's still fighting back his tears, trying to be brave.
"I love you. Don't worry, though. I'll see you again, Ryo." He's smiling through his tears now. He laughs, even. "Ami, why is it we waited so long? Why did we wait until you were dead?" He reaches for my hand. But his fingers pass right through my palm. "Ryo," I say, "Ryo, I will watch out for you. And we will meet again, I promise. Now go to sleep. School tomorrow, yes?"
"Yes. Same old Ami, huh?"
"Of course. I've got to go now. Bye, Ryo." I'm suprised at myself, being so brave. But when you're dead, little things like a fear of rejection seem so silly and impractical.
When I go outside, they're all waiting for me. Sailor Jupiter grins. "So, you finally told him, Merc?"
"Yeah. I guess I did. So, shall we?"
"I suppose." And we journey together, into the light.
