The sound of thunder shook the house, almost waking up the people living inside it. One person woke up with a sudden jolt as he looks around in fear while holding his teddy bear close to his chest.

BOOOOOOOM!

The little boy dove underneath his covers, a small little whimper coming out of his mouth. Why did the thunder boomers had to come here? Why don't they pick on somebody else? Steven looks at his bear trying to figure out how to win this battle.

Soon the sound of another clash of thunder made the boy cry out in fear as he hugs his teddy tighter. His only thought was how he was going to get out of this one? Why can't his powers work on thunder?

"Steven?"

The boy looks up in fear of another clash with the thunder boomers, but the figure standing over him was none other than, Garnet. The little boy sighs in relief, but quickly whimpers when another clash of thunder was heard rattling the lamp beside him.

"Garnet, tell them to go away." He squeaks out as he pulls a pillow over his head, as an attempt to drawn out the noise. The thunder could still be beard from the windows.

"Steven it's just thunder. It won't hurt you." Garnet whispers as she looks at the small gem.

Another crack of thunder caused the little boy to leap into the larger gem's chest. Garnet wasn't surprised. She knew that this was a possibility. Still, the little boy was scared and wanted someone to protect him.

"Steven, thunder is just the clouds having a dance battle." The fusion tells him gently caressing his cheeks as he whimpers softly. "Lightening is just the flashing of the dancing lights."

Steven stops his whimpering to ask, "Then why is there rumbling and the large crack in the house?"

Garnet looks at him before turning to look around her. She almost didn't realize that the house had a massive crack embedded in the earth. A large shriek was heard from underground.

Of course, Steven would think that it was a storm. A corrupted gem was loose.

"Steven, how about we get you to Greg? Pearl, Amethyst, and I will come get you when the storm passes." Garnet says picking up the child and taking him to a sleepy Greg (he knows that somethings up otherwise Steven wouldn't be upset) who agreed to take him for the time being.

Garnet hopes this gem knows whats coming for her for waking her little cutie pie.
