A/N: Hello! This is the story of Escaflowne in poem form starting from the death of the Dragonslayers. I hope you enjoy reading it; though I'm quite sure some of you will quite despise me after you read it!

Disclaimer: I don't own Escaflowne or any of its characters, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. If by any chance this sounds like anything else you've read, seen, written, or heard, that I didn't personally write, I don't own that either.

THE ESCAPOEM

As the village burns
And the sea churns
Dilandau turns.

No tears did he shed
As the Slayers were dead
Their bodies a fire fed.

Dilandau did flee
His face held no glee
As Van fell to a knee.

Van was saved,
Of Atlantis he raved
Its streets were paved.

There they were sent,
Dryden, a ship he lent,
And Hitomi home went.

Van became king
All bells went dong-ding
Their stories, now do I sing.

A/N: Alright… some of you are going to need this explained. Dilandau burns a village… The sea churns in sadness because of the Dragon Slayers death… Dilandau turns around to see Van murder his companions… He didn't weep over the Slayers, who were used as food for the fire around them… Dilandau went back to the Vione with a grim face… and Van fell, … Van was saved by Hitomi, and he raved of Atlantis when it was in its glory. Dryden lent a ship and went in search of it. Episodes later, Hitomi is sent home, and Van became the returned King of Fanelia, and the people rejoiced. The End… Do you get it now??? I hope you do!! Adios!!!
