chapter 1 a Father and son

Smokescreen was Optimus' son. Optimus loved him very much. Optimus remembers feeding Smokescreen his bottle. Smokescreen was a sweet little thing.

"Smokescreen!" Optimus said when he saw Smokescreen.

"Father!" Smokescreen said hugging him. "I missed you so much."

"I missed you my son." Optimus said.

The others were shocked Optimus Prime was a father. Ratchet wasn't shocked he was the one who delivered Smokescreen. Boy did remember that child had quite a set of pipes.

"Everyone this is my son Smokescreen." Optimus said.

"Nice to meet you." The others said.

Smokescreen was young and inexperienced. He still had plenty to learn. Optimus knew his son was destined to be the next prime. Smokescreen had plenty to learn. He kept trying and trying and trying again. Optimus was proud his son never stopped trying. Smokescreen would become Prime soon. Smokescreen was determined to become the leader he was meant to be.

Smokescreen remembered how his father cared for him. Smokescreens mother had died when he was just a sparkling and Optimus had taken on responsibility for his son.

The base was under attack and Smokescreen had pulled his father out of the wreckage. "It's okay Dad I'm here now." Smokescreen said.

"Smokescreen?" Optimus asked. "Son you should of."

"Left I know but I could leave my father." Smokescreen said.

"Smokescreen the forge." Optimus said.

"That can heal you I'll be right back." Smokescreen said. Later Smokescreen returned with the forge. "Here is the forge father."

"No son you take the forge and use to rebuild the omega lock." Optimus said.

"But father I'm not a prime yet. Only you can do that." Smokescreen said.

"Smokescreen the time has come for you take your place as the next prime." Optimus said.

"But Dad I'm not ready." Smokescreen said.

"Neither was I," Optimus said holding his hand. "I was not much older than you but now it's your time."

"But father I need you with me." Smokescreen said.

"I will always be with you even when you can't see me." Optimus said.

"But I'll miss you." Smokescreen said.

"I'll miss you too my son." Optimus said.

Alpha trion was calling Optimus. Alpha trion told him that he knew his son was ready to become Prime. Optimus looked at his son and smiled at him one last time. "Smokescreen?" He said.

"Yes father?" Smokescreen said with tears running down his face.

"Promise me that you will always keep trying and be the best leader you can be." Optimus said.

"I promise dad I promise." Smokescreen said.

Optimus' chest opened and revealed the Matrix of leadership. Smokescreen saw his father die before his eyes. Then he took the Matrix and held it. "Father I will keep my promise." He said and placed the Matrix in his chest. "Arise Smokeamus Prime." He heard a voice say.

"Father." Smokescreen said. Smokescreen's body changed he looked so different. He saw his fathers dead body. He dried his eyes he knew he had to help his crew. Now know as Smokeamus prime. Smokeamus now ready to go help his new crew. Smokeamus left.

Suddenly the other Autobots saw Smokeamus they were shocked. After the fight at Darkmount ended. The other looked at him. "Smokescreen what happened? you look like a prime." Miko said.

"Where's Optimus?" Ratchet asked.

Smokeamus bowed his head. "Optimus died right in front of me before passing the matrix to me his son." Smokescreen said.

Everyone was sad. "So you are the new Prime?" Ultra Magnus asked.

"Yes Ultra Magnus all you can call me Smokeamus." Smokeamus said.

"We can't to serve you Smokeamus!" Arcee said.

The bots made there new base at Hangar E. Smokeamus scanned a new vehicle mode an earth semi truck like his father before him. The other Autobots were pleased with Smokeamus. But Smokeamus was feeling pressured. He now had the burden of leadership.
