Takara stared out the window, a gentle breeze sending her brown locks backwards as she looked out, admiring the setting sun. The setting sun reminded her of the one's she would watch out in the garden's with Azula and their few friends. She had known the new Fire Lord for about eight years now, and although she wasn't exactly the same as Azula, she still found qualities in the Princess that she enjoyed to some degree. When she was younger, she could remember spending hours in the garden, cart wheeling with Azula and the others. She wasn't exactly the best at that. She could remember one time that she did try she ended up going head first into the pond. Not exactly the best thing to do during the cold evenings. Takara laughed it off though, and even to this day, just that memory would bring a smile to her face.
The young firebender had always had a knack for remembering memories like that. Ever since she was younger, Takara would try and regain memories of things that had happened in the past. It always took place of the few times she got to see her father. Her father, Zhao, was a solider and was away currently fighting in the war. She hardly saw or spoke to her father, though she wasn't exactly upset by that. He wasn't a wonderful father to begin with, after all, he was the one that made her mother leave her with him when she was three. At the time, Takara didn't understand the fact that her mother was leaving her, and although she's tried to gain knowledge of the reason, she's been unable to do so. A delicate sigh escaped her lips as she turned once more from the window and walked across the room, climbing beneath the sheets of her bed once more.
Staring up at the ceiling, Takara chose to return to her memories once more as she moved her brown hair out from underneath her head so she was a bit more comfortable. One of the things that she hated when she tried to think of things in the past was when her memories would shift to all of the arguments she had with Zuko, Azula's brother. She didn't like the guy at all, like she had told him on more than one occasion. She had chose, after a few years, to just go and ignore him completely. She found, that after a while, it was the best thing to do, and it gave her finally a chance to be around Azula without feeling the need to scream at him.
Closing her eyes, Takara took a deep breath, running her tongue along her pale lips, sighing gently shortly after. She was tired, she knew that, but she was always tired it seemed. Maybe she was stuck in a rut, and needed to find something better to do than just sit around her room, staring out the window. She hardly ever ventured out of her room nowadays unless she wanted to see Azula. Even then, she had to speak in a rather dignified way rather than person to person. She wasn't really sure if she liked this new Azula, she wasn't even sure what this new Azula was like. She could remember how powerful Azula was when they were growing up and she only hoped that all the power she had now wasn't going to drive her to be someone different.
She heard a knock on the door; opening it, she was greeted by the sight of a server boy. "Princess Azula has summoned you." Summoned? she wondered as she stepped out the door, closing it behind her. She followed the server boy to the throne room and waited patiently for Azula to arrive.
