Hi kiddies, I don't own Naruto sadly

Pls listen to 'Six Feet Under' by Billie Eilish.

I love angst and Sasusaku... Enjoy!

Melted snow collected on the sidewalks. Slowly the once beautiful powder turned into a dark, dirty pile of brown and black sludge that will continuously be trampled on until the rainy months of spring arrive. Winter may seem ugly, but it is actually her favorite season.

Falling in love can be a beautiful thing, much like the snow. However, it usually always ends with your heart ending up much like the snow, in a dirty pile no one wants to touch or look at.

...Help, I lost myself again...

The subway cars seemed to be moving at a snail pace today. Many would blame it on things such as delays or normal things, but she wouldn't. No, she knew better. She knew that the train was going a normal pace, and everyone around was having a normal day while her entire world was falling apart. Her jade eyes scan the crowded car for a familiar face, finding none. Idly she twisted the ring, meant for promises of love and happiness, that hung from the gold chain around her neck. The ring hasn't touched her finger since the day he left.

Moving to New York was a large leap for her. Everyone called her crazy, but she knew what she wanted needed. She needed to be free, from him. Japan had become a prison of her own creation. No one had made her any promises of love or happily ever afters, but she fell in love still with a beautiful boy with dark, dark eyes and an even darker soul. He wasn't a bad man, just a man that never learned to love properly. She was the victim of a crime, she created herself.

She heard the news from her best friend, which ironically was his best friend as well. Tokyo was 14 hour ahead of New York, so it was roughly 6:30 pm their time, which is a completely acceptable time to call someone. However, it was roughly 4:30 am in New York, a not so acceptable time to call someone. She forgave him though because he is her best friend, and she was happy to hear from him. Or so she thought.

Finding out that the man you have loved all your life was marrying someone else is a pain Sakura wouldn't wish upon her most hated enemies. However, she had her chance at love with the beautiful boy with dark, dark eyes, but he did what he did best: destroyed her.

She was in a great place in her life. She was in her last semester of med school at NYU, one of the best schools in America. At the ripe age of 25, she landed her dream internship with Tsunade, a world renowned surgeon, for after graduation. The internship was back in Tokyo, which makes this news even harder to hear. She has been in the States for nearly 3 years and was ready to face the demons from her past. But now she wasn't as confident in herself as she once had been only days ago. Part of herself that she hates went to school in America to get back him, to make him see what he was missing.

After 3 years of no communication, she sent the love of her life a single text in late January in her favorite place in the city, Washington Square Park, watching the snow fall around her.

"Congratulations, Sasuke-kun"
