Temperance looked in the mirror straight in front of her, her eyes never wavering from her own image, trying not to look at the white stick on the counter.
She never thought she would ever be in this situation. But here she was. She was always so careful with regards to that stuff but as with all best laid plans it had gone wrong. Horribly wrong
That evening of fun that she thought she could forget about had come back to haunt her. She was over a week late and she had always been regular. So it had sounded alarm bells in her head.
She had had the pregnancy test in her bag all day long just looking for the right time to take it, but a million events had conspired against it happening, so here she was at 9.00 clock in the evening standing in her bathroom waiting for the time to be up so she would be able to find out if she was pregnant or not.
She had said once before that she never wanted to her children, it wasn't because she hated kids, it was because of the life she led solving crimes but also because since she had found out about her parents she didn't want to hurt a child the same way she had been hurt by her own parents.
She never guessed that she would end up in this type of situation.
Not to the great Dr Temperance Brennan.
The wait felt like an eternity, every minute was feeling like an hour. And she wished that Angie was with her, she needed her best friend to help her through it.
She brought her wrist up and looked at her watch, one minute according to it and she would know the truth.
She took a deep breath and prepared herself, picking the test up she looked at it results and a few tears started to flow from her eyes.
She pulled out her cell phone from her pocket and dialled a number, pacing the phone to her ear she waited till the person picked up and the spoke.
"Booth, I have some news for you. I'm pregnant."
