Prologue

Being in love was one of the most wonderful things in the universe that could ever happen to you. Us humans have survived that way. Even yokais fall in love, and they also survive that way, somehow. Love. Either it makes you weak, or it makes you strong. I've always wanted to somehow experience pure blissful love, and I have, of course.

But it's not always blissful, or happy.

Love has a downfall. It's not a bad thing, but it can ruin people's lives. Love can either create or destroy.

And right about now, I don't know if I'm breaking down or just really strong.

I know right about now Inuyasha's probably meeting Kikyo somewhere in the forest. I know that Inuyasha cannot leave Kikyo alone and I accept the fact wholeheartedly that he deeply cares for her, especially she's his first love. Love he cherished because he was a hanyou, and Kikyo was a human priestess.

I accept every pain and suffering I've been enduring because I also love Inuyasha. I love him so much I can bear the pain, just for his happiness. I know I am Kikyo's reincarnation, but that just means I'm just a mere replacement.

Am I?

I don't know.

I try not to think of depressing thoughts like this while I look up the bluish-orange sky. Night was coming soon and he still hasn't come back. I know Sango, Miroku and Shippo are very worried for me. But I can't help it. I'm slowly breaking apart.

I heard someone landing and I knew he just came back.

"What's up with your faces?" I heard Inuyasha speak towards Sango and the others.

I heard nothing but silence until Inuyasha approached me.

"Hey, you're not angry, are you..?"

I calmed myself down before speaking. "Where have you gone to?"

"Uh I met with Kikyo. You know I'm not hiding anything from you." He scratched his head, waiting for me to say the word 'sit' on him.

"You didn't tell her first you were actually going to meet Kikyo, you know," I heard Sango saying from behind.

I can tell Inuyasha was already having beads of sweat on his forehead.

I inwardly sighed, "It's okay. I know you're meeting her anyways."

Inuyasha stared at me for a while before speaking, "See even Kagome knows!"

I can hear something snap inside of me because after that I can't control my mouth any longer.

"SIT! SIT! SIT! SIT! SIT! Die Inuyasha!"

And that was that. I grabbed my yellow backpack and ran away, hoping to get back to my own world.

...

Walking through the woods, Sesshomaru can smell something dead from afar. He kept walking until he couldn't bear the smell any longer, so he halted.

"What's wrong Lord Sesshomaru?" Jaken, who was a small yokai, asked as he looked up at his master.

Sesshomaru just sniffed the air and turned the other direction.

"You shouldn't bother Lord Sesshomaru like that Jaken," a little girl along with them said.

"Don't try to scold me, you little kid!" Jaken retaliated.

Sesshomaru summoned his mokomoko-sama and they all went to flight to at least avoid the stench he was smelling. As he observed the forest below, he saw towns where humans dwell, yokai wandering everywhere, it was almost peaceful.

There was one human, however, was running rather quick and desperately. He wasn't interested at first, but things changed when he saw who was after the human.

That disgusting hanyou, Sesshomaru thought. Who he was chasing, he wonders. But that doesn't matter. He need not to be involve with his half-brother's failures. He would never clean anything up whatever that hanyou would leave behind.
